The game is great! The attention to star trek details makes it perfect, I love the feeling of bein g a vulcan engineer. Awesome job by the developers. It runs smooth on my PC and looks nice.

Could not get the game to run smooth despite my FPS showing full 90fps locked with no dropped frames. Tried Virtual desktop 80, 90 120 fps, meta link, steamVR, lowered res all the way down. All had the same judder when moving like it was half FPS/ghosting stutter. Even waiving your VR hands infront of your face I get the judder.

Not going to play a VR game with bad frame pacing or fps or whatever is going on. requested refund. If it gets fixed I'd buy and try it again.

I consider myself a Trekkie. I'm a big Star Trek TNG fan. I grew up watching the show and strongly aligned with the ethos of science, discovery, & respect for other cultures / worlds / nature. Unfortunately, I can only give this game a wait for a patch / update recommendation. IMO, the game is barely playable as is currently.

Even on my RTX 5090 (look at my specs), I was getting bad performance. I was getting dropped frame rates and sometimes only managing to get about 60 fps. That's not acceptable performance on my rig. That's with lowering resolution scale all the way to the bottom.

Besides performance, the game starts out very slow. Even after only 2 hours of gameplay, I had already seen multiple hallways and rooms that had looked just like the ones I had just come across. I was lost without looking at the map because of how "same-y" most of the map looked. The Vulkan Death Grip was a sad dev idea that should have been thrown away early on in the game's development. It may have worked as a once or twice thing, but not more than that.

Game is running on the Unity Engine. You have full locomotion available, along with smooth or snap turning. You can play comfortably seated as there is a button crouch.

I think a better idea for a survival game would have been to get stuck in the Holo-deck in an foreign land with no weapons and have to use your tricorder to learn how to build basic tools / weapons / habitats from the alien land or just forget the holodeck idea and let it be a crash landing on an undiscovered alien planet. That would have been much better than whatever this tried to be. It ain't Resident Evil though.
