3, 2, 1… Abort! Abort! Abort!

Hi everybody!

As you know, we’ve been aiming at releasing Astrobase Command on the 6th of May.

We have through the pre-launch period received key feedback that told us that the learning curve of the user interface was still too steep.
Which is something we have been trying our best to resolve, but we haven’t been able to properly fix the issues in time.

Therefore we’re sad to announce that we’re forced to delay our current launch date.

This means that Astrobase Command will not be released on May 6th, 2021.
We are very sorry for holding of on delaying the launch until it was this late, we were trying real hard to get things sorted until the very last minute and thought we would be able to make it in time.

We know you wanted to see the game released, and we were greatly looking forward to releasing it.

We are very sorry for how this unfolded and want to apologize to everyone.

What now?

We will now take a step back and figure out how much time we need to make the game better for new players and get back to you with a new launch date.
However, we want to make it clear that although we think we have a good solution and we're doing our best we can't promise that what we're trying to do will pan out.

Can I buy the game?

No, for now we will continue to hold off selling the game until launch.
If you’re interested in buying the game please Wishlist it.

If you’re a reviewer, streamer, or youtuber, feel free to get in touch for a review copy.

If you have already bought the beta or earlier versions through itch, our website, Kickstarter, or received a review copy you can keep playing the game and will receive any further updates we put out before and after the full launch.

Can I share video or screenshots of Astrobase Command now?

Yes! Starting May 6th you are free to make and share content based on the game.
If you have the ability, please come by our Discord and drop a link to it. We’d love to see what you are making/doing with our game.

This also means that you’re free to share screenshots and video of the game in our general discord channel (although if you’re reporting bugs as a beta player it’s best to keep that in the beta channel).

Again, our deepest apologies for the delayed release.

Astrobase Command Launch Announcement

Great News Everybody!

We are finally setting a release date for Astrobase Command!!

As you know, we’ve been hard at work wrapping up the game. We’ve been very focused on getting it to a good state before we set a release date. We are now at that point.

To cut to the chase.

We are releasing Astrobase Command on May 6th 2021!!!

It will then be available on Steam as well as on Itch.io.

We will be posting much more news as we approach that date. So stay tuned and get hype(r space)d!

I love the game, can I help getting the word out?

Yes! We’re a small team and would love your help!
Get in touch with us on Discord[discord.gg] or through email[jellyfish.games]. Or just start telling your friends right now!

What does this mean for the current players?

If you already have access to Astrobase Command you’ll be able to keep playing the beta all the way up until release. At which point you will gain access to the release version of Astrobase Command.

We will soon put out the last big beta update which has many changes, fixes, and additions to the game. We will of course put out smaller updates and hotfixes as needed.

Can I share screenshots or video from the game yet?

This is the most common question we get, and we’re very grateful for everyone’s patience and for helping us save up marketing hype to release!

To answer the question, kind of.
If you have the game and want to show your friends, yes! Just have them join our discord[discord.gg] and share the things in there. Of course, that content should stay on our discord server and not be published elsewhere.

If you want to stream the game or make a video and put it up to a video sharing website, not just yet, we’ll have an embargo at the release date for that type of content sharing.

Can I still get the beta?

We are considering pausing sales of Astobase Command until release.
If you want to play it before release, get it now!
If you want to wait until release then please wishlist the game!

Astrobase Command 0.4.6 Closed Beta Patch Notes

Hi Everybody!

We’re happy to bring you a Summer Beta Update!
Update it as usual from Itch.io to get the latest version.

As you see from the change list there are quite a few new things in this patch. The two biggest of which are the top bar and the fast forward. These let you easily access key information at any time and speed the game up when needed, respectively.

Note: There is a known bug where some audio can get stuck playing continuously. If this happens to you, you can remedy it by simply exiting to the main menu and loading the save. If this happens we would appreciate a bug report on our discord server.

New Features

Added the Top Bar, shows key information at all times in the top left of the screen.
Added Game Speed Controls, you can now fast forward the game by pressing the icon in the top left
corner of the game or by pressing your Space bar.
Added Groovy Effects while fast forwarding.
Added new Tooltips for crew/inspect nodes/books.
Added new Overview Panel
Added new H.I.N.T.S. Panel.
Added Crew Numbering to help keep track of who’s who.
More Music.
More Sound Effects.

Improvements

Slimmed down the Omnipad meshes.
You can now skip splash screens by pressing Escape.
Fixed Rolodex Interactions.
Many Audio updates and fixes.
Improvements to AstroFleet and away missions.
Various balancing fixes.
Improved how the game handles different aspect ratios.
A ton of bugfixes and improvements!

Is this a new page? I havent heard from this project in a while so i decided to search for it again and found out this page, that wasn't in my wishlist and wasn't following. But i'm sure it was before.

Haven't even seen a steam key delivered for this game, I backed it over on itch.io figured i hadnt checking in on it in a while. Guessing this has been abandoned by the dev....
