We just dropped a new update to the demo, patch v.1.2.0d!

The big one is Controller Support! This is HUGE. Then there's bug fixes, both minor and game-blocking ones, plus balancing, card adjustments, and QoL improvements. The full details are in our other news post right here: Patch Notes v.1.2.0d

What do the status icons mean?

What do the icons mean that indicate the status of the gnomes? I just don't know what's wrong when they have the scribble icons in their speech bubbles. I know they're upset but I don't know what it means. What does the water icon mean? Are they thirsty or are they afraid of water? My Kingdom failed and I think that might be the reason why. i somehow didn't take care of the population, but I just don't know what I'm supposed to do in that situation....

First, a quick heads up:

Want to skip the tutorial? Go to Settings in the main menu and uncheck the FTUE option
You might find some bugs, and please let us know if you do!

What's New:

Controller support! Full controller navigation is here! (snapping is still being smoothed out, please bear with us 🙏)
Enemy Roar SFX! The phantomlings are louder now, you've been warned 😉
Card adjustments

Bug Fixes:

Fixed Fate text color animation
Fixed Merchant card issue
Fixed building range hover exit
Fixed missing Surface Pack localization
Fixed Successful Invention card effect

Balancing:

Adjusted card descriptions and titles for: Demolition, Root Branch, Root, Sir Edward's Allowance, Stem Branch, and Stem

🎉 Deckbuilders Fest 2026 is now live on Steam and Little Tree Kingdom is in it!

May 5th to May 12th. If you've been waiting for the right moment to share LTK with friends, this is it 🥳

🛠️ Demo Update v1.1.0d is also out today, including:

- Enemy tooltip intent (see what they're planning before they attack)

- Controller virtual mouse snapping

- Cards tooltip & descriptions improvement

- Bug fixes & polish

Forced, timegated tutorial

I did not care to play the tutorial, especially after having to screen and scroll wiggle just to progress. And abandoning the kingdom to start anew started this tutorial again. Game looks interesting but stuff like this is very frustrating. I (and I am sure others) don't need to WASD the screen and scroll wheel (not everyone even has a scroll wheel) to be able to figure out how to play....

Game Balance

Game is interesting, but The number of usable card is too little then in my deck only two card or one left then its done. Too dependent on store for card. I was in a condition where i just just waiting my failed just to see my kingdom crushed (the monster from various sides), because i dont have many cards left and there are no store, there is no hope for fight back. TLDR; its like dark souls but my stamina bar cannot regen....

Frustratingly bad luck or bad game balance?

After a few days, I ended up with a complete ♥♥♥♥-show of a gamestate... 3 enemies on the map, left and right of my tree I placed these arrow-guard-towers that are supposed to attack enemies in range (and get stronger with a spiked wall- of which I also had one), but they did not feel like attacking the enemies. Turns out, all three enemies were either flyers or coming from below- none of them were walking the "normal way"- hence none of the towers do anything. I mean- the tower is HUGGING the main tree an...

Hello, thank you for giving me the opportunity to do the playtest with you. However, I have a small issue. Let me explain: right at the very beginning of the game, after the explanation about how to use the cards (the number of times they can be used and the number of points required to use them), two dots appear on the ground. At that moment, I can no longer do anything; everything is blocked. I can’t use the cards anymore and no new messages appear. I can only move the terrain up and down and from left...
