Played it for millions of hours when it came out back in the day. Bought it at some point in one of those 3$ sales out of pure nostalgia. Just finished a playthrough and the game is just great, good old school quality:
- Music is phenomenal
- Level design is fresh and doesnt feel repetitive
- All the dialogs are voiced with good acting
- Character progression feels great, there arent many options for build crafting, but the options inclidued are very strong, every new level up feels like a power up
- Exploration feels incredibly rewarding, with hidden goodies all over the place and far away from the beaten path, makes you wanna break every pot and clear every corner.
- Party members have ok personalities and it doesnt really matter much which ones you take with you
- Loot feels ok on the early game, but it becomes irrelevant later on because set items are way stronger and also you get to craft your own hand picked items, so dropp loot becomes a source of gold to buy reagents.
- Story line is nothing to write home about, very straightforward "chosen one" plot, side quests are plenty and varied, requiring you to revisit older maps to get things done.
- Combat feels ok, it is possible to kite both mele and range attacks so there is some skill involved. The AI for summoned monsters is clunky at times too, which could discourage people from going beastmaster (even though the traits are amazing).

I have nothing but love for this game, if you dont mind the old graphics i would strongly reccomend it to anyone looking for a good old school RPG. Just finished my first playthrough with an all nature magic party for the jank! and now i feel like going for something even jankier!

the game is perfect! sadly the broken world does not work

I recently enjoyed playing Dungeon Siege I, which worked acceptably, but for this sequel there are running issues, and even though it is quite decent made, the minimap, camera limits and control keys are making it difficult to play. Add to that there is no load game, but you are ported back to last city, which seems wide and far apart, meaning each time I die, there is a lot of running back, which is pretty annoying. Not quite sure if I will be able to continue to play this one.
