I see everyone leaving only positive reviews to encourage the developer, but since I paid money for this game, I'll give some constructive criticism. It is short but sweet, and I LOVED that art style, animations, aesthetic were great, story was ok, and music was meh. Biggest reasons why I gave thumbs down were bugs / QA and some game design decisions, in more detail:

BUGS:
- game lets you upgrade damage, health and heal slots, however past Level-7 if you upgrade health it doesn't give you more health but still deduce points for it
- if you rapid click on the upgrade sigils without enough points they become rotated because of action animation
- when you die to a boss you can still get shot at the spawn point if boss fires a projectile before you're teleported
- if an elevator starts moving and you enter portal to the next level you still hear the elevator there
- got stuck before first boss when elevator wouldn't come down to progress, had to restart game
- elevators don't reset after you die, it was faster to just jump down when they were down. But then why have them at all in those places?
- at the "arms" of last boss you take damage just by walking up to it (some hitbox probably peeking)

GAMEPLAY:
- Level 3. Its a platforming level with obstacles, but you reset every time anything touches you. Why have a healthbar then if you force a no-hit run basically? Also it doesn't give you any points to upgrade before the boss battle and no way to farm points if you spent on the wrong upgrade because there are no mobs on that level. Just an awful level design. The traps were nice though, but it could have been damaging you instead of instant-reset.
- health upgrade is by far the only thing you need to spend points on. more damage just lets the fights end sooner, and you don't know your damage anyway, heals are basically unusable in a boss fight so its always better to have a longer healthbar from the get go.
- movement is clunky by design. Love it when we get a dodge and a sprint, but why no jump attack? No jump attack in 2d game is like invisible walls in 3d games.
- Because it is designed to be played like a rhythm game instead of an action game. To kill first few bosses all you have to do is:
slash + slash + dodge + turn around +
slash + slash + dodge + turn around +
slash + slash + dodge + turn around -> Victory!
- Yes there is parry and jump and heavy attack but you don't need it. It can be played like a bad arcade games where you could stun lock everything by spamming low-kick to victory. Once you master parry you roll regular mobs by walking up + wait + parry + finisher, walk up + wait + parry + finisher, walk up + wait + parry + finisher, etc. It slows the game a lot and forces you into playing a more boring playstyle instead of fluid movements all around (animations are smooth though).
- dodging out of attack animations is fine, but why do mobs have hitboxes on their resting bodies? It was design back in OG Mario days when mobs didn't have "attack" animations and were basically walking hitboxes. But why would a tree damage me just because I walked passed it.

Sound level all over the place. Even the smallest touch of a small trap instantly resets your progress for no reason despite character haveing a health bar.
