Look, reviews are subjective and so is this, so take this with a grain of salt if you actually want to play.
This game gets clowned upon for being a really bad multiplayer entry within the RE franchise and it's rightfully deserved, those who play this game (including me) either play it because it's somewhat fun or its usually a guilty pleasure, its the latter for me. Capcom has never designed a good multiplayer game for RE games, look at Operation Raccoon City or RE:Verse, or RE: RESISTENCE; those games are genuine bottom of the barrel games yet people still play them for some reason, same with Umbrella Corps.

I think people are a bit too harsh on this game saying it's the worst they've played and there has argubly been way worse games than this, not to justify the game's low budget feel but it was developed interally within a way smaller team, this was more of a "passion-project" (cough, sarcasm) gone wrong.

Umbrella Corps is really as bare bones as it can be, is it a good tactical game? Absolutely not.
Is the singleplayer content worth playing? Probably not.
Is the multiplayer worth it as well? Depends on the type of fun you're looking for.

It has bad netcode, clunky and floaty movement, bad cover shooter mechanics (Gears of War did it better in 2006 by the way), so many ideas fleshed into this game makes this a game with quantity over quality, so inconsistent, you're rarely be using the 'zombie shield' or stomping zombie dogs or whatever, this is a really quick summary of it as going through the gameplay detail by detail is excruciatingly painful.

Like I said, it's a guilty pleasure, I'm also part of a community that regularly hosts gamenights during the weekends, and for what its worth with a community as little as like 10 players, I'd say it's worth it if you feel like talking to genuine fans who are willing to put aside industry standards and just focus on the 'fun' aspect of gaming or simply playing it because it's always a guilty pleasure-

Get it on a sale, the deluxe edition isn't deluxe as it doesn't give you the other cosmetic pack, so falsely using the word of 'deluxe' on Capcom's part! (To justify this arguement, EA bundles all their DLCs in the Battlefield games as a 'deluxe' when you purchase the game gives you ALL content, so this deluxe DLC on Umbrella Corps not including another doesn't make this a definitive deluxe) Buyers be warned!

Sadly this game isn't even good for taking the piss. Genuinely one of the most mindnumbing experiences. I'd have been better off taking out $10 in cash and setting it on fire
