Hi everyone! Artem is here.

I'm happy to announce that my new game Alien Morgue has been released!

I must say it's been a rough month for me. I took on too big a task for me, but I couldn't delay the game's release any longer. I did all I could to release the game today at its best but I admit it's not yet at its finished state. Although I tried to take all your reports and suggestions into account!

I sincerely apologize if you encounter any bugs or errors. Please report them on Discord or the game's forum page. I will do my best to fix everything as soon as possible. I will also add more languages in the coming days.

I hope you will enjoy the game and I will have a little rest with your permission.

Some identity cases are ambiguios

I have found two cases trying to match identities that are a 50/50 guess since either identity matches all the criteria. Is this intentional? It feels like a mistake or bug since the cause of death is always only one option if you look at all the available information. The most recent case was an unemployed zathorn, that was all the information the cases had, employment and race. But there was two unemployed zathorns to choose from, so I had to just flip a coin. This game is so fun. It repeats the same aliens but the levels get harder and there are more things to look for when it comes to cause of death. Eventually you get more aliens to work on. It makes you have to think logically and sometimes you go "ah dang I knew that.." after your answer wasn't correct. 10/10

It's a game that might be very simple in it's setup and mechanics but it certainly gets very complex. It forces you to keep track of a lot of stuff at the same time and definitely gets pretty tough at a certain point. I'd certainly recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good puzzler and a mystery to solve that doesn't just throw its answers in your face but wants you to think for yourself. I bought it on a whim after I saw a post about it last week and I don't regret it especially not for 7 bucks!

I really want to love this game but it has some quirks that don't quite make sense. The "oldest" injury is often the cause - but why are aliens being shot and electrocuted after they're already dead? Especially if they died of natural causes that seem to have progressed? Some of my monsters had skin that didn't match the visuals, which leads me to think I've identified something incorrectly, but it had already been verified as correct over multiple other days which seems odd as well.

It plays exactly like papers, please! which is a classic, and aside from some of the causes of death being wonky it's fun and the overall concept is well executed.

A-> B doesn't make sense to me.

I'm a bit confused about the A -> B organ dependency. It says that the Heptrix is vital, but it depends on the Pancryn, but the Pancryn isn't vital. Does damage to a non vital organ that leads to an undamaged vital that is older then a damaged vital organ count as the cause of death as the non vital damage would cause failure or the vital organ?...

End of day feedback is worthless

There is no point in telling me at the end of the day what I got wrong during the first autopsy when I don't have the slightest clue WHAT I selected during the first one, or WHY I selected it in the first place? Was I wrong because it wasn't a vital organ? Was I wrong because it wasn't the oldest injury? Was I wrong because it was a non lethal injury?...

Alien Morgue Demo - Patch 0.1.2 - Chinese and Russian languages have been added

It may seem like a small patch but it's actually taken a lot of effort to implement these languages into the demo. I'm pretty happy with the results, sooooo.... It means Russian and Chinese, along with English, will be available on the launch of the full release! 💪

And for now you can play the Demo and see how these languages will look! 👽

(❗ If you have already installed the game, then after this update, the game will most likely crash. You will need to delete save file before launching)

Hi! I just tried the demo and had to stop at the first alien of the second batch because I couldn't figure which colour to enter in the database. This is a shame because it seemed like a concept I would like but in this state this is unplayable for me and most likely other colourblind people like me. Consider either using something other than color (shapes for instance) or write the name of the colour in the parts description and the database....

Game fails to start

I press play in steam, it appears to run for a second or two and then it's no longer running. Trying to directly run the executable gives similarly disappointing result.s What gives?
