Added in some extra menus and systems I wanted to include in 1.2, as well as some bug fixes. I also added Artifact Spots as a tiny content update, just to show how the mechanic will work in the future :)

With this, I think it's time I consider the demo finished ^^ I implemented several of the ideas y'all provided recently, so if you have any more, do let me know in case I can squeeze them in. I'll also still patch any bugs or issues you find.

From here on out, I'll be focusing on adding content. It'll likely mean a lot fewer updates/posts from me, but I'll try to do a dev log at least every month! The first thing I'll be doing is creating the full skill perk trees, for which I should have information to share later this month.

- Added a Shrines page to the stats menu, which allows you to view progress on shrines and your current boons.

- Added a Boosts page to the stats menu, which shows your current speed for some actions with sources for each increase. For example, you can see your woodcutting speed and a breakdown of every perk, boon, and upgrade that contributes to it. This page will be expanded on in the future.

- Added a Bestiary to the stats menu, which keeps track of every monster you've cast Monster Examine on. Enemies you've defeated at least once but not examined will be shown, but won't allow you to view their examine info.

- Added diggable artifact spots to the excavation skill. Artifact spots appear in the world randomly and can be dug up using increasing tiers of shovels. When dug, they provide a random reward of gems, ores, or donatable museum artifacts. Each tier of artifact spot has a unique loot table. Currently, two tiers exist: Mundane (on the surface) and Common (in caves).

- Guinergy costs now include a "+" next to the tier, to better convey that higher tiers can be used in substitution.

- The item hover stat panel now moves to the top-left of the mouse if it would be off-screen vertically. This is most noticeable in the bottom rows of the inventory.

- You can now get a hint about where to find a donatable museum item by hovering over it in the museum items menu.

- Weapon and armour stats in the item hover tooltip now appear in 3 columns to reduce the height of the tooltip.

- Crop Surge now has 3 tiers, the third tier offering +100% crop growth speed.

- Fixed several typos and descriptions.

- Fixed an issue where the old man's cabin's roof would not disappear.

- Fixed the higher-tier guinergy tutorial not appearing if the guinergy was crafted through the Spectral Foresight perk.

- Fixed an issue where the empower costs in the shrine menu would sometimes not update immediately when opening.

- Fixed an issue where Ingrid would show as being upgradable past mithril, causing a crash if you tried and also causing issues for those who had already upgraded her to mithril.

- Fixed a typo where flickering guinergy was shown as "dull guinergy" in the stats menu.

- Fixed an issue where townies would still show as "??????" in the renown menu even when you had the requirements to unlock them.

- Fixed an issue where the action bar would sometimes not start scrolling when text was cut off.

- Fixed an issue where progress bars in the stats summary menu would sometimes show as underfilled.

- Removed an unobtainable staff from the item discovery menu.

- The Alchemize spell now requires the same item to be in the same slot while alchemizing. This prevents the wrong item from being consumed when moving items in your inventory mid-alchemize.

- Fixed minor clipping of the edges of text in some stat menus.

Hey everyone! After almost two months of work, I am excited to release the final major content update for the Demo! This update has 3 new skills, dozens of new items, new graphics, some new progression systems and upgrades, and a plethora of fixes and changes.

With so many changes, there's bound to be a few bugs. Please let me know if you find any, as I'll be patching them over the next week or two.

I have a few more final touches and systems I want to put in place for the demo, but after that I'll be switching focus to working on content for the next release, either Early Access or a full release (depending on how development goes). As you know, solo game dev takes time, so that may be months or even years away. - Added the Ranged combat skill.

--- Four sets of ranged armour, 4 bows, and 4 tiers of arrows have been introduced.

--- The ranged skill has 6 perks and the usual per-enemy combat masteries to unlock.

--- The Upgrade Bench in the workshop has been replaced by a textile workstation, which lets you craft ranged armour.

--- Bows and arrows can be crafted at any workbench.

- Added the Guinergism skill.

--- Three Guinergy Shrines have been added to the world, each with a unique set of lumes and powerful unlocks called boons.

--- The guinergism skill has 6 perks and 3 masteries to unlock.

--- Added "Mastery Tokens", which are awarded whenever you complete all five tiers of a mastery. These can be spent at Guinergy Shrines.

- Added the Magic skill.

--- Three sets of magic robes and 3 staffs have been introduced.

--- The magic skill has 6 perks and the usual per-enemy combat masteries to unlock.

--- Staves and magic robes can be crafted at arcane wheekbenches.

- Added the spellbook, a new menu which lets you cast spells using guinergy.

--- There are currently 8 unique spells to cast. More spells are unlocked as your magic level increases.

--- Spells can be cast using equipped guinergy, and higher-tier guinergy can be substituted for lower-tier guinergy.

- Added a guinergy equipment slot.

- Added enemy weakness and resistances to specific combat styles. Using the corresponding combat style will raise or lower your accuracy and damage by a flat multiplier. For example, an enemy with a melee weakness of 50 will take 1.5x more melee damage and melee attacks will be 1.5x more accurate. A melee resistance of 50 will cause all melee attacks to deal 0.5x damage and be 0.5x as accurate.

- Added armour to certain enemies. Armour is a flat decrease to any damage taken. An enemy's armour is displayed next to their name using a shield icon.

- Added Preston, a crafter townie who smelts precious metals (i.e. Silver ingots)

- Added an "cursor ignores townsfolk" option, which makes townsfolk non-selectable by the cursor. They can still be managed through the right-click context menu.

- Added the stairs to North Newbrook to access the Shrine of Discovery. You must reach Island rank 2 to unlock them. More buildings will be added to this area in later updates.

--- The old man's cabin has been moved to North Newbrook.

--- Pine trees are now only found in north Newbrook.

- Added the topaz bracelet and topaz amulet.

- Masteries can now be tracked by clicking on the pin button in the masteries menu.

- Tree and crop plots can be tracked by right-clicking the plot or in the plant seed / plant sapling menu.

- Added a transmog system which lets you hide/set what equipment you show as wearing regardless of what is equipped. This can be accessed through the mirror in the Stylist's.

- Added a "Manage Townsfolk" button to the pocket menu in the bottom right.

- Added several graphical improvements to the world, such as rolling clouds, water tile changes, colour changes, and tile "checkerboard" shading. Clouds can be toggled on/off in the graphics options menu.

- The farming bonus xp effect has been moved from the Jade Ring to the Jade Amulet for consistency.

- The crafting menu now shows how many items are crafted on the recipe buttons.

- 0 damage hits now show as "miss" instead of 0, to more intuitively convey how the attack accuracy system works.

- Missed attacks now play a different SFX to hit attacks.

- Improved the stats display in the item cursor hover menu, dividing the stats into categories of "Accuracy", "Strength", and "Defence".

- Mastery unlocks now show the relevant skill name.

- Topaz rings now boost the Ranged skill. Topaz Bracelets boost melee, and Topaz Amulet boost Magic.

- Fishing spots now tell you the minimum required level to fish there if you don't meet the requirement.

- Crafting or receiving items that you already have equipped (eg. Arrows) will attempt to equip them before giving them to your inventory. This is most noticeable during Guinergism, where you can equip the guinergy as ammo to save an inventory slot.

- When hovered over, the museum tips collection object now shows progress towards when it'll next receive gold.

- You can now hover over materials in the crafting menu to see more information about them, like other items.

- The Town Hall is now automatically tracked when you start a new game (unless "skip intro" is enabled)

- The game now creates a backup when saving, and uses a slightly less risky method to accommodate potential computer crashes during the process. It also now creates backups whenever updating to a new version of the game.

- Fishing lures (and future items with durability) are now stackable and can be combined easily in the inventory and bank. This required a huge rewrite of the inventory infrastructure, so please be on the lookout for any bugs.

- Durable items now show the remaining durability in the cursor-hover item info.

- Item tooltips/info will no longer block the inventory for items in lower slots, as they now float off-screen vertically.

- Added left click / right click capabilities to the shop. Left-clicking now buys an entire stack of the item, while right-clicking does the usual "1, 10, 100" depending on what modifier keys you are using. This allows you to buy back thousands of stackable items in one click rather than multiple.

- You can now see the amount of health food heals in the cooking menu and shop menu by hovering over the recipe/item.

- You can now see if an item is discovered or not in any menu which shows an item.

- The combat menu now shows your base minimum and maximum hit with your equipped weapon. Note that this does not factor in enemy-specific weaknesses, masteries, or crits.

- You can now enable/disable gold pickup sfx just as you can item pickup sfx.

- Squeaky's bank item function becomes the default left-click option once you've ranked up the island, as he has no tutorials to give afterwards.

- Changed some tutorials to disappear conditionally (Eg. Dropping an item removes the "Your inventory is full" tutorial).

- Cancelling a crafting or re-enabling a crafting townie while they're en route will now cause them to instantly reassess where to go. Previously, they could only reassess once they reached their destination or while crafting.

- Change several more menu visuals, icons, and functionality. Too many to keep track of.

- Removed the "Teleport home" button from the session menu, as its function has been replaced by the Home Teleport spell.

- Several combat rebalances to make room for future weapon tiers and different combat styles.

- Armour now provides an accuracy bonus for its relevant style, and provides a penalty to other combat styles' accuracy.

- The first combat mastery now offers +10% crit chance (from +5%).

- Planks now give an additional +20% xp from crafting.

- Golden fish, crops, and bugs are less likely to compensate for the Shrine of Discovery's boons. However, the overall golden chance with fully-upgraded boons is higher than what was previously possible, ranging from 33% to 50% higher.

- Golden opportunities are slightly less common to compensate for the Shrine of Opportunity's boons.

- Mirror's Edge is now a melee perk, and Vampirism is now a vigour perk. Vampirism now also applies to all combat styles, not melee specifically.

- Fixed the clipping of the gold display panel in the dialogue menu (When upgrading your backpack with a large amount of gold)

- Total damage dealt stat is now clamped to how much health the enemy had when attacked. For example, hitting 5 on an enemy with 1 health will now only add 1 to the stat. Note that the hitsplat displays still show the full damage amount regardless of hitpoints left.

- Fixed an issue where the currently hovered item info would disappear when a townie deposited items into the bank.

- Fixed an issue where combat statuses (eg. Bulwark, Warrior's Gambit) would be removed in the middle of combat if taking too long to kill the enemy.

- Fixed an issue where the chance for an attack to hit was much higher than expected. This will affect early-game combat xp gain, and also make food slightly more useful.

- Fixed an issue where the walking animation would freeze when equipping items while walking.

- Fixed the stats menu's "category tabs" having improperly scaled icons. The buttons are also smaller to fit more per row.

- Fixed an issue where golden wheat was impossible to obtain.

- Fixed golden crops not counting towards their respective masteries.

- Fixed an issue where shovels didn't count as upgrading a tool for the first ranking star.

- Fixed an issue where scrolling text labels sometimes did not start scrolling when they first appeared.

- Fixed an issue where plots would show "()" instead of "(0s)" in their mouse tooltip.

- Fixed an issue where you sometimes could not use the right-click context menu after closing the townie, town hall, and ranking board menus until you moved or left-clicked somewhere first.

- Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred when switching between townie upgrade menus after recently upgrading one.

- Fixed an issue where you could not drag/drop items on the inventory page when hovering over the equipment panel when it was closed.

- Fixed an issue where item durabilities did not appear for items in the shop buyback.

- Performance optimized for some actions, such as mass-opening lootboxes.

- Performance optimized for depositing large amounts of items into the bank.

- Massive performance optimizations for background functions, in some cases doubling or tripling FPS.

- Fixed a visual issue with slime sprites.

- Fixed a visual issue where the interact target box around a moving enemy wouldn't smoothly follow the enemy.

- Fixed a visual issue where the interact target box would sometimes appear above an enemy when moving in certain locations.

- Fixed an issue where "manage townsfolk" buttons would not update immediately after reaching the required ranking or building the required building to unlock them.

- Fixed an issue where you could move diagonally onto some tiles where you shouldn't be able to, like the edges of the bridge.

- Fixed an issue where the main menu would flash the buttons for a frame before hiding them during the startup animation.

- Fixed an issue where you could accidentally buy items from the shop, as it registered the mouse-up input after the mouse-down to open the menu.

- Fixed an issue where the mastery display text in the mastery menu would fade in and out.
