Update Patch Notes

Greetings!

This update mainly fixes issues related to battle, the Status screen, and story branch checks, while also improving some story presentation, side-scrolling map scenes, Carrier Pigeon text, and localization.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where Inner Energy cost reduction effects could appear incorrectly in the Skill details for Status in battle under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where using the Bow EX Skill \[Frostwind] could prevent follow-up Skills from being used under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where the Inner Energy cost reduction effect from the Cultivation Method \[Stillforce] could remain active under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where pressing hotkeys while closing the Status screen could cause the UI to become unresponsive.
Fixed an issue where some story branch checks could fail to trigger.

Optimizations

Improved some story presentation and text.
Improved localization across all supported languages.
Adjusted the side-scrolling map \[Barren Slope], including its scene presentation and battle background.
Improved some Carrier Pigeon text.

Does anyone know how to unlock these three CGs? - Two CGs in between the no romance and wandering the jianghu - One CG at the bottom right of page 3 I've finished every difficulty, the normal + true ending as well, all romance + harem + no romance, but I can't unlock these three

This update mainly fixes an issue where certain Skills could not be obtained correctly, and includes optimizations to the UI, story presentation, and other content.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the Saber Ultimate Form \[Sandstorm Prison] could not be added correctly to the Training Grounds in Turn 8.
Fixed an issue where Cultivation Methods and Skills could not be added correctly after attribute upgrades in certain situations.

※ For saves that already missed the unlock timing for the above Skills/Cultivation Methods, the corresponding Skills/Cultivation Methods will be added automatically to \[Training] at the Training Grounds and the Academy’s \[Library Pavilion] after loading the save.
Fixed an issue where enemy appearances and portraits were displayed incorrectly on the side-scrolling map \[Sword Trial Terrace].

Optimizations

Improved the color display for attribute grades, making different grades easier to distinguish.
Optimized quest names and configurations.
Improved the description text for some sellable items.
Optimized some post-battle dialogue text.
Optimized presentation and attribute rewards in some story scenes.

Small details about new character interaction

Certain character interaction talks about people/events that have not really be introduced at that stage of the game. Overall it does not affect gameplay, but I think it would be more polished if those small details can be addressed. For example, Sang Lier talks about Xiaoyu even though she's not introduced yet....

I came into this game expecting a short stat raiser (I didn't read anything lol, trying to surprise myself), and found myself playing every difficulties and endings. Honestly, I didn't expect to get this hooked. The story is simple, but that's the charm. You see characters interacting in a slice-of-life like genre, quickly drawing you into loving them. I didn't expect the whole Shen Tinglan story to get that dark . It makes me wonder how heavier it would feel if the game has less cheerful art style.

The game is very, very long, so it took me days for my first playthrough. Late into the endgame, there's many empty days, so I wish there would be an instant jump feature to instantly skip to the next scenario for players who are already satisfied with their stats.

Lastly, I really love the endings, both romantic and non romantic. If possible, would you consider adding a platonic brotherhood-like route for the male characters? It's especially interesting if we could delve deeper into Ye Luo's childhood and inner court, plus Zhe's past, and Huiguang as well as Huiguang didn't leave much impression due to the lack of screentime compared to other characters.

Budget wuxia academy life sim

Good:
+ Good pricing vs hours spent ratio (easily 20+ hours for $10)
+ Harem ending is well written compared to generic harem endings (there are a couple of scenes related to it)
+ Difficulty slider, mod support, and new game plus are all available
+ Protagonist is enjoyable to play as. He is overpowered because he is a martial prodigy and he is a good schemer
+ Unlimited free battles/gold grinding

Bad:
- You don't really notice the music/soundtrack
- May be a tad too long for a single playthrough. If the turn limit gets reduced from 120 to 80, it'd feel less padded and the story will flow more smoothly.
- All the moves have similar animation
