2026.4 Projection matrices and exporting fixes.

Hi there,

The introduction of tangent warping accidentally made the projection matrices worse for the rest of the crop region creation and export pipeline.

In this patch we address that by making sure each crop manipulation feature works properly together and restoring the previous functionality of auto-clockwise point sorting. This had to be done in exporting pipeline as well to get visually consistent results.

Decals

Is there a way (or will there be an option) to create decals and select them not with a rectangular marquee, but with an automatic outline? For example, I want to extract only a specific part of a texture—like taking just the graffiti from a brick wall—and have the selection automatically snap to the graffiti’s shape instead of a square....

Update 2026.3 - Tangent Warp, Studio IBL & More!

New Feature

Tangent Warp
Warp your crops with precision using the new Tangent Warp tool. Tangent handles give you the ability to straighten and fine-tune regions on top of the regular perspective warp.

To use it:

Right-click on a region

Select “Tangent Warp” from the context menu.
Click and drag the green handles.

Improvements

Unicode Export Paths
You can now export using non-ASCII (Unicode) characters in your file paths. Language-specific letters and symbols are fully supported. Thank you for reporting this!

Improved Studio IBL
Added proper studio IBL for the 3D Preview. Enabled by default, providing a much more accurate visual representation of your crops in natural light.

New Demo Project (2026.3 Edition)
A fresh demo project has been added to help you explore the latest features and improvements.
