Drywall 1.3.1 - Steam Deck Verified!

Minor patch to get us Steam Deck Verified! (We were already running well on it before, but now we got the fancy green badge now.)

Text on some menus made a smidgen bigger.
Controller navigation improved in some menus.
Game will change screen resolution to Steam Deck's if it detects the player is on the device.
Settings file was being included in Steam Cloud - no longer the case.
- Settings may still update from the cloud on your next launch, but after that they'll only be per-device.

Softlocked

Seem to be softlocked in 4th stage. Objective starts but doesn't populate a list beyond the title. Have tried to exit and restart which cleared a previous progression stop but no go bro.

This game was cute and was well enough written but there's one problem. Eating drywall is kinda a tertiary concern. In fact, the gameplay often incentivizes you to NOT eat the drywall. The concept is basically a total lie. I was hyped up for a LOT of eating drywall, but instead I was mostly talked at by unpleasent people. Needs more, and more of a focus on that sweet, sweet sheetrock. I'm left hungry for more!

Not as exciting as the title suggested. Had some funny, sometimes quirky moments and a couple of guest appearances of characters from other franchises. There's a girl with a hajib in the first level. Eating drywall has little purpose other than to calm you down, which can also be accomplished by exiting the level and returning with your anger cleared. The primary goal is to get angry enough to bash walls down, and also complete other objectives like fetch quests. The writing tells me a lot more about the opinions and political stance of the guy who wrote the dialogue than I'd prefer, as it seemed very one-dimensional. Like, I get that people dislike AI, that's fine, until hating AI is your whole identity and personality, and now I have a lower opinion of the person who wrote the script. I mean, I was just here to eat drywall. Mission accomplished I guess.
There were some cute pictures of real pets, so that was cool.

Glass Doors Nonfunctional

Glass Doors (notably the ones in Level 3, which is where I'm stuck), offer zero feedback to being interacted with and don't open, unlike regular locked doors which rattle and make noise if they're not openable. Notably, this makes it, as far as I can tell, completely impossible to finish Level 3 because there are no accessible walls on the outside of the Server Rooms to headbutt in through. Persists through game restart....

Hi everyone! We have a big patch for Drywall Eating Simulator that cleans up the last of the reported bug issues and adds a few new features! This is probably going to be the last major content update for Drywall as we move onto our next project. (There's still one or two things left we want to add, but don't want to make any promises we'll be able to get them soon.) We'll keep an eye out for any bugs still, and do maintenance patches when needed.

New Features:

LEVEL SELECT: You now can now choose to start the game at the beginning of any of the levels once you've unlocked it! (This is retroactive to whatever your current save has unlocked!)
CLOUD SAVING: Cloud saving is now enabled for the game!
REWORKED TUTORIAL: There's an actual tutorial now! It also displays controller icons as well!

General Changes:

Added an option to turn off the CRT filter entirely.
Fixed an issue with VSync not enabling correctly.
Fixed some controller navigation issues in the Main Menu and Phone UI
Fixed some invisible trigger states not being saved. (If it ever felt like progress was reset weirdly on loading a level, this should fix it. There may be some instances where you still have to trigger again but after that it should be saved.)
Fixed Anger VFX and Phone Update UI sometimes freezing during level loads.
Fixed some instances where disabled NPCs on level load would still play voice audio.

Level Changes:

Apartments: Fixed a missing instance of the "Ominous child" not showing up. (If you talked to your neighbors before breaking down the wall.)
Apartments: Slightly changed dialogue for the musician a little bit to give a little more context to what's going on there.
Hardware Store: Something new now has a chance to show up in the "Clean the bathrooms" quest?
Office: Fixed "Any issues within the company" quests having some completion issues. (It's possible that some parts of the quest may reset on loading a save if you've completed the first part.)
Office: Fixed the main quest not completing properly and not triggering the Big Presentation.
Office: Fixed "Cup of Coffee" quests sometimes firing out of order or re-opening on completion.
Office: Fixed the wall behind the Tired Boss being able to be broken before the questline ended.
Art Gala: Fixed the Art Gala questlines from not updating correctly in some situations.
Art Gala: Added in popup panels on the Art Gala placards for easier reading.

Mouse Sensitivity

Even at 1.0 the mouse sensitivity is way too high, even when I turn down my local mouse sensitivity. Please let me lower it further, its making me motion sick :<

Potential Bug - Unable to write report at desk of Psychocorp after fulfilling objectives

Got a softlock issue I believe: Went back to the apartment to grab the coffee for the fourth floor, and then went back to the apartment again because I did not realize my desk was on the second floor. When I went back to the apartment, the objective from the start of the game ("I need to find a way around") appeared. Went back to the second floor of Psychocorp, but cannot interact with my desk, despite the objectives being complete. For what it is worth, I noticed only then that the objectives text w...

Drywall Patch 1.1.0

Hi all! We just released a big bugfix patch for Drywall before we take the holidays off. I took a look through the forums and elsewhere and we tried to fix as many things as we could - We'll probably have 1-2 more patches in the new year to clean a few things up but hopefully this resolves a lot of things people have been reporting!
