Very fun little mystery. A mix of tangle tower, duck detective and the case of the golden idol. A few of the parts had me tripped up for a moment but there's enough to figure things out eventually! I found I was able to solve stuff prior to getting the actual clue, which I loved being able to piece things together early while still not being able to call the whole thing early.

We've been spoiled for mystery games in the vein of Return of Obra Dinn and Case of the Golden Idol since those games release, but Who Summoned It? really stands out from the crowd. Compared to other deductive mystery games, Who Summoned It? puts a focus on its characters and its writing. In terms of gameplay it at times evokes the Phoenix Wright series, with a focus on interviewing characters and figuring out what's true and what's a lie, where characters are contradicting each other.

While it starts fairly simply, the mystery gets pretty tricky as the game goes on, and the story has a lot of fun twists and turns. Its carried by its writing and humor. This is the funniest game I've played in a long time its not close. There are some delightful characters, Rita the Rat Peddler, Pimmelstix, Lil Ludwig, and of course, truthmeister extraordinaire Riki Rocktoe.

This is a game with a lot of personality, and a lot of heart. It's absolutely worth your time.
