It's Steam Next Fest and we're part of it! 🥳 Here are a bunch of bug and quality of life fixes that will make your experience even more fun.

• Make special abilities more powerful

• Add special ability cooldown level up card

• Player start off stronger

• Revamped player information HUD to have a better special ability timer

• Revamped the tutorials to highlight UI elements

• Recipes now show what ingredient you own and which not

• Most of the HUD is now hidden while in other UIs like the shop making the UI more clear

• Fixed a RAM leak issue

• Fixed ducklings that vanish sometimes

• Fixed the game not ending after defeating the boss

• Fixed certain game crashes

• Fixed the music and ambient sound not looping

• Fixed the slide out panel in the shop getting stuck

• Fixed enemy bullets hitting player while dissabled

• Fixed wrong number of coins and shards shown in HUD

• Fixed enemy movement bug

• Fixed enemies spawning in the void or level terrain

We are participating in the Steam Next Fest between Feb 23 and Mar 2 and of course that comes with some updates, here is the first of the bunch!

• Effect rework: Most effects got an overhaul so that they feel more impactful. Bullets also have a trail now. Enemies have more visible hit effects.

• Character select rework: The character select is reworked to display more information from the start and have a better flow

• UI

  • Weapons are now swappable from the pause menu and from any overview

  • Added a recipe page in the Shop

  • Added direction indicator for event pointers

  • Better recipe visualization

• Balancing:

  • The health of enemies is higher now

  • Enemies drop less health packs

  • The health fountain gives faster health

  • Recipes cost more shards to make

  • Bullets fly faster

  • Make sure all recipes are forgeable

  • Make see through terrain area bigger

  • The final boss doesn't stagger anymore

• Performance:

  • Added a max amount of enemies that can be in play

  • Optimize animations

  • Optimize enemy movement

• General

  • Add different colors to enemies to indicate their strength

• Fix layout of multiple buttons

• Fix menu flow bugs

• Fix forge not working the second time

• Fix shop not closing with Escape
