Played my first run of the game, less than 30 minutes in. Completed and reached the summit, was met with the "You reached the summit, congratulations!" screen followed by a reminder that the game is currently in early access. Updated: Weekly, Hard, and Easy Runs all completed in under 3 hours.

During those 30 minutes the game was a delight, as someone who plays similar games within the genre it may be easier for me than other players. The art was incredible, and while there were minor UI navigational issues at the start they grew on me and I got comfortable with them rather quickly. I like the premise of the game, and hope to see more from the developers. Always happy to support a game on its first day release that looks promising.

And this game doesn't just look promising, it feels promising. Give it a try, it's very reasonably priced if the devs intend to give it love during the course of its early access. If you've been burned a few times by early access games, I'd recommend steering clear for a few weeks-months until the game has enough to it that it isn't beat within less than 30 minutes casually. Replayability is there, but the length doesn't offer much if you're looking for something like Slay the Spire / 2 where you can keep going in over multiple hours in a session finding new things.

DEV NOTES
- When choosing "Repair all Equipment" at the mid point. Gloves, Halbert, and Shovel were not repaired. All 3 items had slight damage, but above the halfway point of damage. Unsure if this was a misunderstanding where 'repair' = completely damaged un-useable item. A () might be beneficial to players who assume repair entails any equipment below its max health.

- Offer cloud save! Was so excited to play this game further while on the road on my laptop only to find out that out of an entire library this game was the only one who didnt offer it. Most players probably only use 1 single device for gaming but for those that dont it would be nice.

Love it when indies try new ways to explore Rogue genre.
Cool artstyle and you can eat your fishing rod when hungry enough, recommended ^^

BARDA is a great game at an Early Access stage.
With absolutely stunning graphics, a witty gameplay between roguelite and inventory management, I can't wait for the devs to add more features and length to the game.
It's a great experience for anyone who is looking for a short gameplay loop, a strong artistic direction and some great replayability.
