The Orebits Demo just launched!

We are so excited and proud to announce that the Orebits Demo is now available for you to play.

Let the asteroid mining begin!

We (Bob and Maarten) have been chipping away at Orebits every Friday for the past 18 months!
So releasing the demo is a big milestone for us.

Share your thoughts

Since the playtest we have added lots of improvements and bugfixes.

If you still encounter an issue or bug, please share it in our demo survey[forms.gle] or on our discord[discord.com].

We would love to hear your (honest) feedback and ideas for improving Orebits.

What does the future hold?

From here on, we want to prepare Orebits for it's full release, adding lots of upgrades, research and a few exciting new features. More on that later!

But for now, enjoy the demo!

Alt+Tab Creates a Duplicate Game Window Issue

Windows 11, when Alt+Tab when the game pauses entirely when interacting with a different full screen window that causes the audio to cut off as it pauses, when going back into the game but then when I check the Alt+Tab Windows Total Open, it shows a duplicate of the game window If you keep Alt+Tabbing to do other things in another window & returning, it will keep creating more duplicates of the game windows I am unsure if it affects windowed mode at all I had up to 7 active at once when I left the game ...

🚀 First Showcase! Orebits at Courage Cologne during DevCom 2025

Our first ever showcase is here! 🎉

On August 19th, we’ll be at Courage Cologne during DevCom 2025 in Köln, Germany. This will be the very first time Orebits is shown publicly. We couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!

We’re bringing a fresh demo build for the event, and the flyers, shirts and stand decorations are coming in! Here’s a peek:

GamesCom

We’ll also be walking the floors at GamesCom on Thursday to soak in all the gaming goodness.

Orebits is live on Steam!

Adding a storepage for Orebits is a big milestone to check off our (big) to do list! It takes a lot of work to build a nice Steam page: research, copywriting, capsules, screenshots, trailer, gifs, feature lists, and much more.

But we have made it!
