Hello Survivors,

I'm officially releasing Lone Survivors next Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12:00pm EST!

This is your reminder that for ten days after release, I will be holding a competition for three categories. Each person who ranks #1 in the category will get a $10 Steam gift card from myself! In addition, these categories will be split between players who had Early Access and players who started playing on February 27, 2026.

The first leaderboard for the competition will be the Dungeon. Whomever ranks 1 (surviving the longest) in the dungeon will earn the reward!

The Dungeon is the second endless map unlocked, and features skeletons, dungeon automatons, and who knows what else...

Ironman mode pits you into a small chamber in the dungeon.

Your goal? Survive as long as possible - just like the dungeon.

The difference? Your level caps at 10.

Survive the longest, get rank 1, and win the prize!

Lastly, we have the Speedrun competition.

In speedrun mode you'll be racing against time, trying to beat the main levels in the shortest amount of time possible.

The catch?

Every weapon used in one level is removed from the pool for the rest of the levels. Play smart, pick the right weapons, and show you're the fastest Lone Survivor!

This will contain spoilers, so please keep that in mind.

The simplest to unlock, just survive for five minutes in the Grasslands, and this map will unlock.

1. Beat the entire game one time

2. Play Grasslands on Ascension 1

3. Find the Librarian, and recover her

4. Complete the Book of Ironman she offers

5. Now, play Ironman from the Level Selection

This update is going to consist of mostly some nice QoL features that I think are missing, as well as continued bugfixes and (hopefully) performance improvements.

1. Quick Chests - in the Options menu you can now enable Quick Chests.

Quick chests makes chests skip the opening animation, and lets you just continue with the combat. See the attached gif for an idea of how it works! Personally, after ~15 minutes, I'm happy to just grab the chest and keep playing. This really helps the flow of combat, and aligns with the other systems I've made (i.e. shrines/circle of power, neither of those additions stops the flow of combat).

2. Rank + PB (Personal Best) tracking: Now, in Endless mode, you'll be able to see your current placement in the leaderboard, as well as your personal best, while you're doing the run. This will show just below the score.

I hope people get a chance to try this out, I think it will help in terms of understanding if your run is good or bad.

I made it small and transparent so it doesn't block the view of the game.

3. Scrolling Leaderboards: Controller/gamepad input can now scroll in the leaderboard with the Right Analog Stick

- Hides the rain puddles when performance mode is on (hopefully helps performance)

- Reduced the logic for distant enemies moving towards the player

- Brought indicators in closer to the player (shouldn't be offscreen anymore)

- Shrine and CoP should spawn with an offset to the player if it's unable to find the location (rather than directly on top)

- Reduced size of floating text for better visibility late game

- Circle of Power: fixed interaction with count upgrade for anvil, arrows, crossbow

- Increased delay for dungeon events (from 360 to 540 seconds)

- Fixed weakness component staying present on killed enemies resulting in it being VERY op
