Hello fellow Pilots! Flip up your hatch for some air, we got news!

The launch date for Golgalian is June 24th for the premium price tag of $1! There will be a modest launch discount through much of the Summer Sale to see you sated if you want to buy it alongside a bunch of other cool games.

The demo has been a cool success, and we're happy to see people enjoying a taste. As some of you may have noticed: it's hard! The demo is running at a higher difficulty to give a fuller experience than what you can expect of the full game at the very beginning, but ramps up to quickly. The demo will remain up for awhile, so you Next Fest enjoyers can take your time.

Here's the state of the full game at launch:

• 6 power ups

• 4 enemy types

• 1 boss with 4 attacks and 6 destructible parts

• Endless levels

• 5 Steam Achievements

• 158 Github commits

The patch notes for Version 1.0 are as follows:

Added:

• Steam integration: rich presence

• Steam integration: achievements

• The side black bars can now be filled with art, togglable in the settings

Changed:

• Leaderboard will now default to your Steam username when available, and submitting an empty name will use it as a form of quick entry

• Game will hide the mouse when a controller is in use

• Fixed an issue where closing the options from in-game will lose controller focus, requiring mouse input to regain focus

• Game will now pause when opening the Steam overlay

• Tooltips in the options menu now clarify that mouse left-click and right-click also fire your main weapon and mortar, respectively.

• The game now defaults to 1280x720 resolution on first launch, and initializes at that size.
  
• Attempting to unpause while the options menu is open now closes the menu instead of unpausing.
  
• The SFX channel is now side-chained to the UI channel so power-up and extra life sounds are more audible.
  
• The tank's closebox is much larger to show off the feature more (try a controller!).
  
• Several sound effects have been reduced in volume.
  
• Reworked boss animations for the spiral shot and missiles.
  
• Boss missiles in phase 3 no longer fire infinitely (that was a bug).
  
• Increased player corpse health from 10 -> 15.
  
• Turrets should no longer spawn on top of each other.
