For me personally, I play with a Dualshock, and don't have the Xbox buttons memorized nearly as well, so the hospital and pop star minigames feel incredibly disorienting for me. And on top of that, it would just be nice to have it for a little bit more faithfulness to the original game....

Drink, Clean and Wash lets you boost it consistently. Read can also boost it during bed time, but it's not very consistent. I found that watering your plants and other activities can boost it too.
