We are so excited to finally announce that Vale’s Echo demo is officially live on Steam!

You died and woke up on a train with no memory of your past life. Explore the Underworld with your cheeky skull companion, Echo. Solve puzzles, make unlikely friends, uncover your past, and choose how your story truly ends.

In this demo, you get to play from the very beginning and explore Chapter 1 of the game.

Gameplay highlights in the demo:

Dark and witty dialogue choices with consequences;
Intriguing, slightly unsettling;
Branching narrative paths shaped by empathy, humor, and moral decisions;

Demo Thoughts

I love the visuals, the atmosphere, the art, the characters, the pacing, the environments, the choices. It's all really great stuff. I got to the "offering" where I need two items, though, and I have something that is "definitely" of each required type, but she won't let me offer them. Am I missing something?...

Vale’s Echo demo is coming in February!

VALE’S ECHO DEMO IS COMING THIS FEBRUARY!

Hey there, passengers!

We’ve got some great news (as you might’ve guessed from the title). Thanks to all your feedback from the playtest, we’ve been hard at work iterating and improving the demo. We thank you for all the help, and we’re beyond excited for you to jump back into the underworld.

What can you expect in the demo?

If you played through the entire playtest - don’t worry, there’s plenty waiting for you. We highly recommend replaying the upcoming demo and revisiting all its levels. We’ve updated, fixed, and expanded existing content. And the most exciting part? We’ve added a brand-new level for you to explore!

When?

We’re still deep in polishing and bug-fixing to make sure you get the smoothest experience possible. We can’t share an exact date just yet - but rest assured, it’s landing this month.

VALE'S ECHO IS COMING TO TAIPEI GAME SHOW 2026

Hello there, passengers!

We are very excited for more people to discover Vale's Echo. While the journey would be a bit too long for us this time, we won’t be attending the event in person, but we’re still very happy to be part of the show!

Dates: January 29 (Thu) – February 1 (Sun), 2026

Location: Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center

In the meantime, we’re hard at work on a public demo, coming soon!

Pretty good

I liked and beat the demo! For the cat with the rotten apple, I noticed after I picked it up it said death will remember that so I assume does get you in trouble or are you taking the food away from the cat? Because even though I didn't feed the cat the cat ended up eating the guy on the ground after I came back into the room so I assume it was because I took the apple?...
