When it says "Shop refreshes stock once per day" does it count "Real Time" when the game is shut-off (e.g. "Real Time") or does it only count time while playing the save (e.g. "Play Time") as the term can be ambiguous.

In order to get the thief penalty, you must go to Coupe's shop and use a consumable (like Ectoplasm or Score of Fashionista) while having too little DP to pay for it. After that, you have to attempt to leave the shop, which will have Coupe prompt you to sell other items to compensate.
