Exoshock Demo is Now Live for Steam Next Fest

Operatives, Exoshock is participating in Steam Next Fest 2026, and the Exoshock Demo is now live on Steam for a limited time.

The demo is VR only and gives you a chance to experience Exoshock’s visceral PvE combat, progression, weapons, mutations, and ship-based missions before release.

What’s Included in the Demo

• 1 playable level: Large Ship Alpha Breaker
• Resistance levels 1 to 4
• 2 Mutations: Faction Warfare and Droid Horde
• Mutations can appear on Resistance 2, 3, and/or 4
• Progression up to Level 7
• Unlock roughly half of the available weapons and items by reaching Level 7
• Shooting Range
• All player skins, colors, and patches available

Valve Knuckles can't load pistol und rifle.

With the Valve Knuckle controllers, I couldn't rack the slide on the pistol or the rapid-fire rifle. Only the shotgun worked without issues. Everything had worked fine in the previous demo. https://youtu.be/ihGD5W1zT7A?t=186

📅 STARTS IN ONE DAY | JANUARY 2–5

The second Open Playtest is almost here. From January 2nd to January 5th, you can jump back into Exoshock and experience the latest build during this limited-time event.

If the Playtest App is already in your library, you are ready to deploy. If not, download it now and keep it installed to access this and all future playtest phases.

Once downloaded, you can enter the Exoshock Staging Area, a hub designed to give playtesters a hands-on preview of Exoshock’s look, feel, and core systems before missions unlock. When the Open Playtest begins, missions will be available to play.

Key updates include

Mission selection overhaul
New map navigation item
New ship variant

Haptic Support?

I gave the demo a swing and I must say I do like how it's been done(esp full gear including feeling like you're actually in the suit itself), but I should ask before I do decide to fully commit to buying. Will there be any sort of Haptic Support at launch or later on down the line? I feel like this game would really benefit from it as I feel like it adds just so much more immersion!...
