Happy winter sale! We’re suddenly at the end of 2025… This year was huge for me, with the release of my first game. To celebrate, Triumvora is 20% off throughout the holiday season!

It’s been a while since the last update, so I wanted to touch base and give a preview of what’s coming.

Version 1.1 – Early 2026

I initially planned V1.1 for late 2025, but I want to include as many “quality of life” improvements as I can, based on feedback from the release, and I want to get these right. I’m also making sure the upcoming update undergoes thorough testing so most bugs get squashed. (But I’m keeping a few inoffensive jank/speedrun quirks for a little longer, they made me laugh!)

Expect V1.1 in early 2026! After that, I have at least one major update planned for 2026. Some fun features that didn’t make the V1.0 cut will make Triumvora's setting truly live up to its name: the Infinite City.

Upcoming events

Much of the work I’ve done behind the scenes has finally paid off: Triumvora got accepted at some upcoming showcases and events that I'm very excited about. Watch this space for more info!

Working solo

The reality is that I’m just one person, and life often gets in the way of my game dev dreams. (I know, so annoying.) I value honesty and transparency from other developers, so I want to be open about this too:

Triumvora was built in one year during a rare, lucky window of time when I could dedicate all my time and attention on it. After it came out, I've made game dev my part-time gig. I've traded development speed for stability, to ensure the game's long-term progress. And someday, with your support, I might be able to go back to working on it full-time :]

Triumvora Original Soundtrack - Available now

It's been a week since Triumvora was released! How's your rulership going?

I wanted to firstly thank everyone who has bought, wishlisted, reviewed and provided feedback this past week. I am very excited to take Triumvora further, and your input will shape the upcoming updates!

As for today's news, Triumvora's Original Soundtrack is now available to purchase through Steam.

Both MP3 and WAV formats are included, so you can listen on any device you want.
A bundle is also available with the game at a promotional price!

Furthermore, Triumvora will be part of the Fray World Showcase in London, where I'll be happy to talk about the music and the game! You can find out more about it here: https://frayworld.com/showcase

The Discord server is still fresh and quiet, but it will be a great way to connect with the dev and the community! I am planning on hosting a giveaway soon, which will be announced there.

Triumvora - Releasing this Wednesday, 24th September

Ready to return to the Sectors?

New features

Three New Sectors

The full game will let you rule over 4 Sectors in total (including Sector Zero from the demo), each with their unique look and music.

Powerful Crown Abilities

Crowns don't just sit pretty on your head! They grant a Crown Ability, which is one of the strongest abilities your Creature can get. Each ability is closely tied to how you got the Aura in the first place.

Upgrading in Sector Runs

Upgrades work differently now. Between Blocks, you can choose to spend all your Aura on a random Passive Effect, which remains active during the entire Sector run. Stack the same effect for god-like powers!

New Creature Personalities

Some Creatures will turn against their friends, and some will be annoyed if you attack their friends. Some will be generous. and some will waste Fruit just for the sake of it. Many interesting situations can arise, watch friends and enemies be made under your eyes!

Creatures seem to know there's a stirring for a new Ruler, so they have gotten smarter and stronger. But your average Creature is nothing compared to its Ruler...

Meet the Rulers

Sectors Rho, Gam and Bis are named after their respective Rulers. Each Sector is heavily influenced by its Ruler's personality:

Ruler Rho is hot-headed and indiscriminate, like the destruction in their Sector
Ruler Gam is the trio's social butterfly, who is more busy socializing than maintaining their Sector
Ruler Bis is less interested in their own pack, and more into overflowing Stockpiles

The old Rulers have misused their Crown powers for too long and it's up to you to overthrow them.

However, they won't go down easily. They are the strongest Creatures you can find in the Infinite City, and will foil your plans to attain Rulership.

Will you take them down for their precious Crowns?

hi dev, I like your game

the art on the steam page is so lovely, & the way you translated it into the game' graphics & the way it looks is so good. I love the colors & the lighting. the game reminds me of Tokyo Jungle, the vibe drew me in a lot. can't wait to see a full release! I've only done a few blocks, but I have a smidge of feedback regarding the demo. if anything I mention is a later block thing feel free to disregard. - I love the creature. such a cool design, but I'd love to be able to change the color of /my/ creature....
