New Patch 0.4.2 Live Now!

Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to roll out this latest update to the demo, packed with gameplay enhancements, new languages, visual polish, and critical fixes. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping these changes, thank you for playing and sharing your thoughts!

Gameplay

Silver and Gold Beast Orbs can now be used with partners, allowing you to select specific skills and traits to pass down for better customization!
Balanced the difficulty curve for a smoother progression.
Weather system added, dynamic conditions now impact battles and exploration!

Languages

Demo now fully supports French, German, Italian, and Portuguese-Brazil translations!
Fixed various errors in the Spanish translation for better accuracy.

Graphics

Improved several backgrounds for enhanced immersion.
Aesthetic upgrades to maps for a sharper, more vibrant look.

Bugfixes

Fixed a crash when returning to the title screen.
Squashed several unreported bugs for improved stability.

About how difficult will this be/how powerful can WE grow?

Just out of curiosity. Naming names, but only because they help illustrate my own enjoyments. In this case, while I liked Monster Sanctuary, I prefer the ability to KEEP raising my stats and things in games like this, such as in Nexomon or even the Digimon games which tend to have stat raising items in them, or ways to make them go up. The demo seems to feature some of the latter, but not sure if there's going to be a ceiling on how strong we can get, like per form or just in general. Also, will this be ...

Kickstarter Funded and moving forward

Astra Bestiary has been successfully funded on Kickstarter and I want to thank every single person who supported, shared, or followed the project. This milestone means a lot and will help shape the game in a meaningful way.

With the campaign complete, I can confirm a few big additions coming to the final release:

Character customization is now officially in the roadmap for the game. Players will be able to create and personalize their Seer before beginning their journey.

Thanks to the support received, I will also be localizing Astra Bestiary into French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Italian.

The demo will receive these translations over the next few months so players can try the game in their preferred language.

This is only the beginning. More features and improvements will be added as development continues. I’ll keep you updated each month with news, previews, and progress reports.

Kickstarter Campaign is Live!

Hello everyone! The game is live on kickstarter, there are some early bird rewards for anybody interested (about 25% gone so I think there's time but don't sleep on them), check it out here:

The demo has also been updated with new content and improvements. If you only played the very early builds, now is a great time to return and experience the latest version.

0.4.0

New Features:

Beast Variants: Seldomly hatched Beasts will have some visual changes and have a different base elemental talent (for example a Frost Agnyvern). Variants can also sometimes be triggered by using an orb from another monster.
Some cool things can happen during battle now like evolving when in battle or learning Skills when receiving an attack that the Beast can learn.
New npcs scattered that will challenge you to a battle.

Improvements:

Difficulty toned down in the starting areas until completing the first trial, retracing later provides a challenge.
Reworked Stella's sprites.

Fixes:

Several unreported bugs fixed.

Especially when it comes to exploration and trying to figure where you should be vs where you can be. I really hope there's a map of some kind, if there isnt already.
