It’s been 1 Year since the release of Greenhouse: Schism. It’s gone rather quickly! For the occasion the game is 84% off (This is the lowest steam would let me set it.). If you haven’t picked it up or know someone that might like it, now's the time to get it!

Greenhouse: Schism is a remake of Schism, A game I released 6 years ago today. After Schism’s creation I had started putting more thought into the world it took place in, ideas I wanted to express and various projects that would be set within it. I struggle a bit with losing motivation on my own projects, often starting new ones so these other games are still yet to come.

Greenhouse: Schism started as a way to bake this new lore into something more concrete. Even then the story and lore is largely flavour. It's a short game after all and I’m not the best story teller~ But now that it’s out the web of off handed lines and characters can expand far beyond this singular project. Greenhouse was chosen to differentiate this version from its original but also to mark this as the start of a world, an ecosystem. My own greenhouse, Finally.

In the time between original Schism and Greenhouse: Schism I attempted many remakes, Schism itself was a remake of an even earlier scrapped project. It’s nice to finally be out of that web. If I make another remake it won’t be for a long long while.

The game’s kinda hard right? If ya played it I hope ya think that, it was kinda the intention. I like difficult games, Frankly I still haven’t gotten all of the achievements. I could patch it and add an easier mode but I think it’s fine, the games out getting back into the weeds of it might be time wasted, sending me back into the Schism web once again. I’m content with the final product.

Greenhouse: Schism was quite a large undertaking apart from the steam art and the backgrounds (Thanks again Ricenoodlebrain[www.instagram.com]!) I created the entire project myself. I’m a programmer but I also created the art and music as well! While there’s definitely a few duds in the OST I’m quite happy with it, Like even if they all sucked I made a 20+ song soundtrack I’m happy! My personal favorites are Mountain Devil and a secret one I’m not sure anyone has found yet…

Greenhouse: Schism has not sold well, Like if I being honest I’m probably talking to a wall making this post. It’s more for me than anyone else I guess. I’m glad the people that played it liked it- Doesn’t have any negative reviews as of yet so that's pretty good in my book! It’s all a start, the sun is burning over the horizon and I plan on getting sun burned.

Hiya all, I've been working on this update for a small while now, I hope you enjoy playing with the new stuff!

• A player dash has been added, it's useful for platforming and avoiding enemies and projectiles

• Some level design, Boss AI and Enemy AI has been tweaked to accommodate the new dash

• Reworked Faux Correa Weapon to be more of a passive upgrade

• Added new animations certain boss fights to better telegraph attacks

• Rebalanced a lot of new game plus to make the difficulty way more fair

• Various small changes that I'm forgetting about :|
