I loooove this game. I kept wanting to play more both because the levels were so satisfying to beat and the narrative that's being told was intriguing. The puzzle design is peak. Each puzzle felt unique, but not too unfamiliar, building on top of the previous puzzles. The mechanics are intuitive, but the execution is where the challenge lies. You know where you need to go, you just have to figure out how to get there, very similar to Portal's puzzle design.

The game doesn't overstay its welcome either, I think the "main" game is perfect in length. That being said, there is a TON of extra levels for those who want it. These extra levels build on top of something I won't spoil because it is amazing once you first experience it.

The puzzle design in this game stands amongst the best in the genre, highly recommend.

A Little Perspective is a deceptively complex puzzle game. I haven't made it past the third "world" yet, but I've already been thoroughly challenged by many of its puzzles. The aforementioned complexity comes from a mix of challenging and varied puzzle design, and a deliberate use of specific edge cases that arise from the perspective-based movement system.

This game wastes no time in going from "that wasn't hard" to "how the ♥♥♥♥ do I beat this one?" while still finding the time to reel it in every now and then so that a new mechanic can be introduced. If you crave a challenging puzzle game, then this game will satisfy that craving.

There's also a story in this game that's told via voiceover at the start of every level. The gameplay and visuals of each level always tie into the ideas presented by its respective story blurb in some way, making the actions of the story feel that much more personal to you as the player, as well as creating a wholly cohesive experience from level to level.

The visuals are pretty much what you see in the trailer. The backgrounds are simple and abstract, and the levels, as well as the player, are composed almost entirely of equally-sized cubes. The catchy lo-fi music also helps add to the contemplative atmosphere of the game.

And just to touch optimization, the game opens in like 1 second which is pretty impressive in the modern age. It runs very smoothly. That is all.

With all that being said, this is quite the weird game. Don't be fooled by its similarities to monument valley. It's far less casual and much more intellectually demanding. Try the demo and see if it's for you. If you like it, then buy it, obviously. Have a nice day.
