Online Issues and More Bug Fixes!

Hello everyone!

Thank you very much for the love you're giving to the game! We're aware that you've been experiencing some issues, but we'll continue to work on them and strive to resolve all the problems you're facing.

Here are the Bugs fixed:

ONLINE ISSUES FIXED

- If you exit an online game, you have to restart the whole game to play another match - If you started an online game after modifying upgrade cards, they didn't sync properly - Issue with Prop Hunt, where only one Gnome could hide - Issue with Prop Hunt, you couldn't hide near a wall - “Flash” effect didn't disappear in some cases, doing contact damage - “Oops” effect remained after dashing - “Magic Trick” only worked sometimes - Gravity Center + Multishot broke when colliding with walls - Some upgrades had messed up the scales of the Gnome

Minor Fixes

- Several visual issues fixed (particles, animations...) - Several audio bugs fixed - Some localizations changed

Gnaughty Gnomes is now available on Steam!

All 8 members of Sand Castles Studio want to thank you for the incredible support throughout this year and a half of development. Our first game was Bread & Fred, a 2-player co-op experience, so shifting to a 4-player party fighting game has been quite the journey full of learning and new experiences.

We hope you enjoy this crazy game as much as we do!

Gnaughty Gnomes Release Date

Hello everyone!

After a year and a half of development, we can announce the release date for Gnaughty Gnomes: It will be available on Steam on March 3, 2026!

What is Gnaughty Gnomes?

Gnaughty Gnomes is a PvP party game built for playing with friends and losing any remaining dignity along the way. There are no sacred rules here and no well-behaved gnomesjust fast matches, absurd situations, and highly questionable decisions.

Here's what you can expect:

Wild, crazy and (g)naughty gnomes
Any object used as a weapon
Upgrade cards that can flip a match in seconds
Fast-paced rounds designed to make you say ''one more game''

The game takes clear inspiration from multiplayer chaos classics like Rounds, Boomerang Fu, and Party Animals.

You can still play the Gnaughty Gnomes demo on Steam. In this version, you can try:

45 different upgrade cards (125 in the final game)
10 maps set in the Aquarium and Airport (25 in the final game, including Candyland, Bakery, and Fairy Forest)
3 emotes to laugh at your friends mistakes (6 in the final game)
The classic free-for-all game mode (with Team Mode and Prop Hunt coming in the final game)

Can we play against bots in this game ? It looks super cool, but I'll only buy it if there's a way to play without other people, I already have enough dead multiplayer only games in my library, I don't need one more.

The fact that you can play online makes it what Boomerang FU should have been from the start.

Remote Play - Lag and FPS issues.

Hello, and sorry for the inconvenience. I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this, but once I invite anyone to "Remote Play Together," the game suddenly freezes for a few seconds, and from that moment on, it feels laggy and runs at no more than about 20 fps on average. Customize who get's to pick upgrades first / and / quality of upgrades

Would love to be able to choose in the options to reverse the order of who picks the upgrades. There is another game that also utilizes the same scheme of having upgrades but the person in last get's to pick them, as well as this game, and we find that losing is more often advantageous for us to get our first picks of better upgrades and doesn't incentivize winning enough like it should. We think being able to win and get first pick, would then motivate each member to participate and fully invest in trying...

Prop Hunt Issues

Hi! I'm loving the game so far, but having some issues with Prop hunt mode as none of us can seem to figure out how to actually hide as a prop! I've managed to achieve it once or twice, but have now idea how.

Nice and simple, easy to learn for any group meeting, theres isn't much to do and thre's no npc's to play solo for now, but is great to play with friends
