Hello movie lovers and cozy tycoon fans! 🎬

Today we’re releasing a new update focused on improving player freedom inside the game.

Some of you mentioned feeling frustrated when trying to move or delete objects while a customer or employee was standing on them. In some situations you couldn’t move the object at all, which could make building and reorganizing your cinema a bit annoying.

Good news: that limitation is gone!

You now have much more freedom when editing your cinema. Objects can be moved even if someone is using them, and overall the building system should feel far more flexible, without breaking the game logic.

This update also includes several bug fixes and small improvements across different systems.

And once again, thank you to all the new players who try the game every day and help improve it with your feedback. Your support means a lot for the future of Cinema Theater Tycoon. 🎥

I really enjoyed the demo and I've been playing it for a few days now! Really excited to see the rest of the game and play through different times and continents. That said, I do have some comments and feedback: - Hopefully this is a demo issue, and there will be more decoration options available in the full release. Steam Next Fest Feedback Update — DEMO Patch 0.2.10

Hello everyone!

Thank you to all the players who tested the game during Steam Next Fest. Thanks to the huge influx of players and everyone who shared feedback, both positive and negative we were able to gather a lot of valuable information about bugs and technical issues.

We’ve taken note of everything and we’re fixing problems step by step, not only for the full game (of course), but also for the demo. We’ve just released a big patch to make your demo experience smoother, more stable, and as bug-free as possible, with the improvements below:

✅ Fixes

Fixed fire extinguisher lock projection issue.
Fixed clients and employees getting locked when an action can’t be completed (BIG ONE).
Fixed duplicate alerts during fights + fire alert skipping the “Call 911” step.
Fixed restroom props flickering when used.
Fixed room creation UI window disappearing.
Fixed UI issue where a GameObject sometimes starts dragging unexpectedly.
Fixed incremental props (food) sprite flick.
Fixed TechTree Alert UI not updating when opened.
Fixed client not detecting the pianist.
Fixed Employee UI shortcut closing when already opened.

✨ Improvements

Improved player/object selection highlight.
Improved building view: hide room icon alert.
Improved building view: allow seeing other rooms in darkness.
Improved tables: clearer “needs seating” alert.
Improved building UI after placement: fixed GameObject/UI overlap.
Improved spectator feedback: link feedback to the relevant projection.
Improved food prompt feedback.
Improved client UI: you can click on a client and see their feedback directly.
Improved tasks: new task when skipping tutorial.
Improved tasks: tutorial tech tree guidance.
Improved localization: name consistency.

If you haven’t had the chance to try the demo yet, now is the perfect time to discover the game in the best conditions. And if you were waiting for fewer bugs and technical issues, this patch is also for you.

Your feedback is incredibly important to our small team, we are only 2 people, and I’m handling the code + game design alone, so I’m doing my best to listen carefully and improve the game as much as possible.

Hey there! I was wondering if the demo available for the current Next Fest is different from the demo offered at the previous Next Fest. This game's pretty cute and I have my eye on it, so I'd love to run through the demo again if there's more to try out....

I went through the tutorial and found the game ran well. Was it a lot? Yah, but there is a lot of potential and I will experiment with it. My main problem is that I went to quit and have been saving for 5min...? Just stuck on the loading screen with the little yellow thing on the bottom right loading over and over....

Been a rough one, I can't lie. There are issues at every corner. Be it visitors getting stuck (at the cloakroom, washing their hands, just in the lobby), the maintenance guy not doing his job because he sits idle in the worker lounge, simply vanishing or going to a spec of dirt that you then clean yourself but he has to complete his pathfinding there before he can return, the many instances one can softlock during the tutorial because you disallow any freedom, which leads to teh case when someone (admitted...

[Feedback] Demo

I'm enjoying the demo, the game has potential, but the game performs poorly and it should work smoothly for me having a 3050ti, but still I have spike of lags and drop of FPS. Apart of that, the acheivements doesn't count properly, I'm stuck in 9 movies and 9 visitors, when that doesn't have sense. It would be cool to fix that....
