I am in the hut with the 3X3 matrix geometric shapes puzzle. There is a clue nearby that appears to indicate a pattern to follow. I have tried every permutation of that clue (rotations, transformations, mirror images), nothing works. Either I'm looking at the wrong clue or the puzzle has an obscure solution. I'm stuck!...

Five hours into the game and can't move out of the ferns. Has to be a glitch in the program. I think i'm near the end and hate to start all over from the being.
