Another game with a great idea but terrible execution

Dice Eater is a card game where each opponent is cheating and you have to find out how they do it by investigating them and the room around you. You also gain clues during the match and by losing it, so eventually you will piece together the entire puzzle even if you're unlucky with the dice.

The main problem with the game is that even if you figure out how they cheat, you won't get an advantage that will assure your victory, you only level the playing field, so you still have to deal with the gambling part( the game provides loaded dice though so it mitigates the RNG somewhat ).

The story is set in the Staffer universe so if you've previously played Staffer Case, you will have a better time understanding the plot. There area also references to their upcoming game, Staffer Retro, so fans of the series will particularly enjoy what is presented here.

In conclusion, I had fun playing Dice Eater, I'm also a fan of the Staffer games and I hate that the mixed reviews discouraged me from playing it sooner.
