Zombie strength mechanic

I've already played a lot of levels, but I just can't figure out the mechanic behind zombie strength, and I can plan to defend myself. In he last level I played, I had two defenders, with one supporting the other. When the zombie attacked, they trampled over both, barely noticing my defenders. Is there a way to estimate the number of required defenders group ? Usually two is enough unless you need to deal with multi-pronged attacks....

Update 11: Easter Trail & Into the Unknown

We're well into the development of the After Inc Scenario Creator, but it's not quite ready yet! In the meantime, we thought we'd bring you a sweet treat!

Easter Hunt

Easter Eggs are hiding in many nooks and crannies. Explore and scavenge to find them, and you'll gain bonus Expedition points to spend on Rewards.

Just make sure you're the ones taking a bite and not the Zombies!

*Only available April 1st - 30th in Expeditions or Escape Hatch Mode

Resource Scouting

Ever wanted to know where the closest Wood area is? Then the Resource Scouting Action is for you!

For a small cost, search specifically for any resource type. Ideal for those tricky Expeditions where some resources are scarce.

Find it in the Resource screen of your preferred resource.

New Expedition Modifiers & Rewards

We're bringing 17 new Modifiers to Expeditions including improved scavenging, discounted Area claims and more!

As for Rewards, 7 new Rewards across Knowledge, Production and Society, improving your exploration, combat and resource use!

Cant recommend this game and i dont think i ever will. The game is vastly inferior to previous games, it seems the devs have leaned HEAVILY into the mobile UI so this game feels more like a mobile game than anything else. Resource system is also weird gated behind stamina

Feels less like a game and more like a bunch of small tutorial and less of a game... i don't like the whole idea of a bunch of small levels were they reset and was thinking this would be more like a longer term survival game where you stayed with the same camp and it got harder as you go.

Extra Population/Tech at mission start a debuff?

I get that more pops and more tech is a good thing eventually, but am I alone in thinking that starting off with either is actually an issue? Higher population means more food & water needed to just break even, and early on, that can be a killer. And tech is less obvious, but it is still a bit of a problem, because with tech level 2 comes a bunch of "better" buildings that cost twice the stamina and wood to build which, again, at game start when you are rushing to secure a wood and a plains can be a drain ...

Early Access Review

As a fan of this publisher's series, I cannot recommend this game. I enjoyed this game for a few hours, but by the end as they attempted to increase difficulty, the fundamental game design flaw becomes apparent: They give you a builing/survival sim environment suggesting multiple approaches to solving problems, but then pressure and punish you to such an extreme degree that in reality there is only one 'correct' set of you actions you can take in any scenario, and in the end you just have to spam restarts to figure the correct order of actions.

A great example of the games unforgiving nature: if you send your fighter into a territory to clear out some zombies, you may find they get overwhelmed and start losing health, and you can decide to pull them out. The zombies will immediately pursue them into their home territory, and continue to overwhelm them, with seemingly to defensive benefit to having retreated to claimed land. There is effectively no opportunity given to come back from a mistake (which you'll have no way of knowing you made).

I think the developers have a good foundation and a set of concepts that can either be compelling or frustrating depending on balance and execution. And I think their balance is far too much on the frustrating side.

Stuck in tutorial mission a.k.a. where is the "scout" button?

Hey, I just started the game and right now I'm in the tutorial mission. I'm playing the German version so this might be an issue with the translation. I discovered? scouted? the first field to produce food and then the next step is to find woods. I was able to scout for the next area that has wood by clicking the empty ressouce bar and then start scouting for a wood-area. That revealed the forrest right over the base, I've build a lumberjack and the add on for fire wood. But now the tutorial wants me to ...

We've got lots of cool stuff coming for After Inc: Revival, and thought we'd share what we are working on.

Next Update

Resource Scouting Action

Ever been looking for a specific resource across the Abandoned Kingdom but struggling to find what you need? Worry no longer! In the next update, we'll be implementing a new scouting option that will pinpoint the location of specific resources for you.

Expanding Expeditions

We'll be bringing more content to Expeditions in a small update coming in the next month or so. Expect new modifiers that'll shake things up

New Events and Decisions

Soon you'll get to learn more about Abandoned Kingdom, the weird and wonderful of what's going on in your settlement and make some new interesting choices.

After Inc: Scenario Creator

We're still hard at work on the After Inc: Scenario Creator, and it's going great! It is our primary focus and we will share a release date as soon as we can.

We can't wait to get the tools into your hands and see what you'll create for After Inc.
