Is it better for gameplay to use controller or keyboard and mouse? And can i even connect an x box controller?

Im replaying this one now after many years and Im noticing that it plays just as good, if not better than modern day AC. The parkour is almost identical to Mirage. The combat is the best in the series but its classic AC combat (AC1-4) . Why is it so hard to just keep this formula and improve on it? Why the need to mess it up in the modern day ACs?? Just ranting....

i lunch the game first its says ownership issu wtf after i verfy the game now its lunch for 1 sec and nothing pup up can any one help me pls i really want to play this game for my first time
