Last week, we brought back Spires: a 3v3, arena-style game mode designed to bring you and your team straight to the action, and give you the opportunity to test tons of item combinations and find that perfect fit. We also rolled out some simple changes with big impacts. Check out the Patch Notes Highlights section below!

We’ve also started rolling out an extra night of Arkheron as a prototype event on our North American servers: every Thursday, join us for Community Nights from 7 pm PT to 9 pm PT. If you’re not in North America, hang tight– we plan to expand Community Nights to other regions in the future! We also kicked off what we’re lovingly calling “Tower Hour” – a virtual get-together before queues open to talk all things Arkheron. 

In case you missed it: we switched from our Experimental Client to the Arkheron Playtest Client to prepare for inviting more new players. Check out this post[arkheron.com] for more information on how to make the switch.

Last week we deployed a small but mighty patch in the form of 0.20e! Some highlights were:

• Karriv and Rynshi return to the Tower; Leodin and Irenna are out.

• Healing Mists have been removed from the game, but may return in the future in a different form. Feedback indicated that, as a consumable healing source, Healing Mists felt too overpowered. 

• Healing Potions have had their cast time reduced to 1s (down from 1.5s)

• Fixed a crash that affected players logging in for the first time.

For last week’s Tower Hour, we started by highlighting some of our community members’ top-notch memes and lore deep dives. Next, we brought Zaven “FarPanther” in to talk about all the ways our team has been improving hit registration based on our players’ helpful and detailed feedback. Finally, we brought two of our longtime playtesters, Bolbi and Nethy, onto the Discord stage to discuss Build Theory in Spires: which items are must-haves, how to assemble your deadliest loadout, and more!

On Friday, we kept the Spires parties going with evening queues across Asia, Europe, and North America! Community members Keyaledis, Arcala, and Laminated staged a friendly takeover of Arkheron’s streams with Bonfire’s Nicole “Pugtayto” during NA Friday Night Fights, and hosted After-Hours Customs too!

Spires is back this week! Spires is our version of an “Arena” mode, aimed to help players (old and new) sharpen their skills in combat.

Keep in mind: this is still an early iteration of what we want Spires to become, and even more than usual, we want to hear all your feedback. Unlike Turbo and Blitz Ascension modes, we see Spires as a mode that has the potential to become a mainstay game mode in Arkheron, just like core Ascension. 

With that in mind, we look forward to shaping it with your help!

North America | 2AM – 4AM UTC

• 10PM – 12AM EDT

• 7PM – 9PM PDT

Heads-up: queuing during a region’s window will connect you to that region’s servers, no matter where you are in the world. If you’re queuing outside your region, expect high ping.
