Howdy everyone!

We’re excited to announce that Eldritch Escape is officially part of Steam Next Fest!

We’ve released a new update for the demo based on the feedback we’ve received from players. We’ve fixed numerous bugs, improved the overall experience, made additional balance and QOL adjustments.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already played the demo, reported issues, shared suggestions, and helped us improve the game. Your feedback genuinely matters and directly influences the future of Eldritch Escape.

But we’re not done yet!

Jump back into the Void, try the updated demo, experiment with different squad combinations, and let us know what you think.

What’s New in the Demo?

The new demo introduces multiple playable survivors, new long-term progression systems, boss-dropped Meta Resources, squad synergies, reworked expedition choices, and a brand-new playable character: Neon Ninja.

Build a squad of three survivors, battle through waves of nightmarish creatures, collect Morphite, defeat bosses, gather rare resources, and decide when to extract before your Oxygen runs out. Push too far, and the Void may take everything from you.

Demo Key Features

Neon Ninja - New Playable Character

A fully implemented new survivor with a unique Execute ability, the Rupture debuff mechanic, dedicated SFX/VFX, skins, and an unlock quest.

Team-Up Upgrade Trees - Squad Synergy System

Characters now unlock combo upgrade abilities when paired together. All current survivors have Team-Up potential, rewarding thoughtful squad composition and encouraging experimentation across runs.

New Meta Progression System

A new inventory slot, unlocked via quest, allows players to extract a single Module for research, improving the quality of future drops of that item type. A layer of long-term progression now added to each expedition.

Campsites & Reworked Systems

Mid-run Campsites now let players heal and swap squad leaders at the cost of 2 minutes of Oxygen. Med Packs have been reworked into inventory consumables for greater control, and Places of Power in the Garden now grant permanent Blessings, making them worth seeking out.

control questions

I'm just curious to know if this game can be played utilizing a single joystick or is it a dual stick game where you can have your character attack in a different direction than you are moving. Also do the characters attack automatically similar to vampire survivors or do you need to input each attack?...

We’re excited to announce that a brand-new demo for Eldritch Escape is now available on Steam and is featured during Bullet Fest (June 8) and Steam Next Fest (June 15)

This is your first hands-on taste of the squad-based Extraction Bullet Heaven, set inside a Lovecraftian void where Earth has already been consumed by an ancient eldritch god. A small band of survivors is trapped inside its belly, and the only way forward is to fight, loot, extract, and search for a way out before the Void claims everything.

Playtest Extended by One Week

Heyo everyone!

We've got good news: the Eldritch Escape public Steam Playtest has been extended by one more week.

The response from players has been fantastic, and we want to give everyone more time to explore the void, test new builds, share feedback, and help shape the future of the game.

If you haven't joined yet, now is the perfect time to assemble your squad, loot corrupted worlds, survive eldritch horrors, and see how deep you're willing to go before everything falls apart.

the gate thing is blocking out the area behind it. can't fight there as you can't see squat. that's even after you've gone far enough for it to go semi transparent.

Amazing concept, great execution, poor optimization

Disclaimer: If the game gets consistently high FPS, i'd argue it's one of the most interesting bullet heavens out there. Try it, get it. It hardly has any competition in terms of plot, mechanics, worldbuilding, aesthetics and depth of customization. --- I wish i didn't have to point out the optimization, but sadly it's the primary reason why i can't enjoy the content within the enclosed gardens of Shub-Niggurath, as lore accurate as they may be . Controller is interfering with HUD/item pickups plus thoughts

-There's some type of weird conflict with a controller being plugged in(using an Xbox One PC Controller) and not being able to see the information on item pickups. When I unplugged the controller, I could hover over the items and read the description. When I plugged it back in, couldn't read/see description. -Experience gains compared to difficulty needs to be looked at more. Eldritch Escape Unique camera Great art Interesting squad base Cool music Map marking option is super nice Attack telegraphs are nice, we like those No dash, except samurai Active task limit, the two part one for samurai I had trouble with getting both done in a run.
