Small Demo Update & Women's Day Celebration!

Hello Muri, we're baaack! ･ﾟﾟ･｡

We're here with some necessary, but also some fun updates to the demo, like interactions with the Squarks. Find patch notes at the bottom of this post.

Demo V0.1.4

Changes

Added a special interaction between Pelle and the Squarks

Added an additional sketch
Changed a current sketch

Made the first squark you meet more unique by changing other birds.
You can now aim the watergun at an even higher angle than before when powerwashing
Added music and sound effects to the final cutscene and tweaked some camera angles (it's A LOT better now)
Polished some cutscenes with new music, sound effects, and other general fixes
Added new sound effects in various places throughout the demo
Tweaked the volume of some sound effects & music
Made the first pixie easier to find
Moved two pixies' positions
Added some new dialogue
Changed the Pearl functionality
General polish
Made the sky feel more alive
VFX added to some objects
Added water to Pelle's backpack
Pelle has a different smile when restoring areas
Limit FPS in StartMenu
Added a camera hint when you've restored

BUGS

Eliminated places where players could fall through the ground or get stuck
Fixed some places where the camera would move too fast
Fixed critters floating above the ground
Fixed some objects not being saved correctly
Fixed some places where it could seem like you were still standing in wasteland when you were actually standing in a restored area
Removed an issue with the doublejump (you could actually run out of water 🤯)

The Muri: Wildwoods Demo is coming February 27th to Steam

Hello Murii, exciting news!!

The Demo is coming to Steam 27th Feb!

Step into the paws of the muri Pelle

In the demo, you'll step into the paws of Pelle, a muri who finds themselves on their first ever solo-mission. With support from their cleaning crew via the DigiDial app TeamSqueak, Pelle will explore, clean, and restore a beach!

Pelle is somewhat of an artiste

As you traverse the beach you've landed on, Pelle will draw sketches for you to collect and upload in your DigiDial. Pelle is maybe not the greatest artist, but they are a cleaner and explorer first and foremost.

Meet new friends

Your friends on TeamSqueak will not only use their smartwatches to give you guidance, but will also chat with you about the world and... random things. You'll see! There's also an array of cute critters found on the beach, some more out in the open, others more hidden.

Great Demo :)

Performance was definitely a step up from the earlier playtest, and the way the environment naturally unfolded over the course of the demo was really satisfying. The addition of characters and a narrative is intriguing and exciting, I really like what was shown of those so far! I love the sketchbook idea too, that's a good incentive to go for 100% completion and exploration beyond the obvious cleaning goal. One thing I do wish for, and maybe this is planned already, is to have your current % completion v...

Ich hatte mich schon sehr gefreut, die Demo spielen zu können. Aber leider ist bei mir alles abgestürzt, als ich das erste Mal zu einer anderen Seite springen sollte. Es wäre wirklich toll, wenn hier noch dran gearbeitet wird, denn ich hätte so gerne das vollständige Spiel....
