Is it as good as the case of the golden idol? no
The story isn't interesting, the music isn't as good.

The cases' solution lack the twists and is usually underwhelming compared to how hard you work for it.
And are generally aren't that good- lot of small clues to piece together and cross reference make your job harder, but lacks that Eureka! moment that makes detective games satisfying.

But the real question is...
is there another alternative for junkies that played "one mystery a day" till they ran out of golden idol sequels and DLCs?

as long as the answer is "no", that's an easy recommendation.
