For a game that doesn't have any text dialogue, I was a little hesitant to play it. But I soon realized that by having no dialogue to read in this game, it told a story in its own way. The way that I went through this story and it told such a heartfelt, captivating story without any characters speaking, it tugged at my heart in more ways than one.

This gives an incredible setup to the second game in the series: "Finding Paradise" so I would highly recommend playing this before so you have a quick backstory of what's going on.

All in all, yes, I would recommend it. It's a short 1.25 hour game that steals your heart, makes you stay focused by its story, and gives you the feeling to jump right into Finding Paradise to see how the story of "A Bird Story" plays onwards.

Pros:
- the soundtrack compliments the gameplay well
- the story in itself is mesmerising for not having any dialogue in the story
- keeps you on track, focused, and not feeling like you're lost in the story

Cons:
- the game had no business making me cry that hard.

Please bring a box of tissues and keep them close.

But all in all, yes, I cannot recommend this series and this game enough. A Bird Story sets up Finding Paradise so incredibly well that anyone who is following this series should definitely play it to have the knowledge from this game going into the next.

Well worth the price and the hour it takes to play, especially on sale. The story is charming, the art is gorgeous, the storytelling is creative, and the music ties it all together into a magical little journey.

Beautiful short game with a touching story. Great prequel to Finding Paradise that gives more insight into the protagonist.

Not a lot of gameplay here, but the story is told without any written dialogue and still hits at the right spots. The mystery that comes with that is fitting the mood of the game so well. And with just over one and a half hours it's the perfect length for a touching playthrough in one sitting.

Recommend if you like narrative games, especially To The Moon and Finding Paradise by the same developer.
