Patch 0.2.1 - Lighting Performance Updates

Version 0.2.1 Patch Notes:

Performance Improvements - Reduced Lighting demands on your poor, overworked video card!
Inventory much more functional - you can now actually see some details about the evidence you're collecting!
Added new Haunted Objects
Improvements to the Inspect Screen - you should end up staring at fewer gnome boots and table legs now. You can also move the camera around now to take a better look at the object you're inspecting.

No controller bind for run?

Hello! I just tried the demo and checked controller input of binds, and the run bind it just show an icon of the controller, but no button icon shown, I tried clicking everything and I can't run, so it's very slow to walk around, and agreed with the other poster, definitely need to enable holding the flashlight on off-hand to be able to use EMF or other devices, when turn breaker off, because have no visiblility on where we are going....

Patch 0.2.0 - Base Tool Milestone!

This update is a pretty exciting milestone for us! We now have at least one tool that is able to capture each type of evidence that is supported by the MediumMixer. This allows the player to capture evidence as a Photograph, Video Clip, Audio Clip, EMF Reading, or Temperature Reading. We've also got some tools that don't directly capture evidence, but will help you explore the locations and perhaps even interact with any ghoulies present at that location including a Head Lamp, Sage, and the mysterious Black Candle. We will continue to add more tools as we update, but at least now the base options are all covered!

Patch Notes for 0.2.0:

Base Tools Milestone (at least one tool for each type of evidence gathering works)
Introductory Quests for Mystery Hack, Lizzy Norton, and Theater levels in place
Report A Bug menu option added for in-game bug reporting / suggestions
Respawn Player menu option added in case anyone ever gets stuck or falls out-of-world
Inventory Screen revamp
Store layout improvements
Breaker Boxes now capable of turning the power back on
Clarified Tool Pickup / Turn On distinction for tools that are used when placed on the ground
More improvements to the Credits
Clues to the safe combination in Newhamburger added

I also noticed that while I was doing this update, it looks like I never actually uploaded patch notes for v0.1.7 (which was the patch that was released before this one). So, if you haven't checked out the game in a while, you'll also notice these changes from 0.1.7:

Store Tools Categorized
Added new character portraits
Updated Journal to show first character when opened
Changed emails to use NPC enum to find portraits
Imported new footsteps (not implemented)
I realized that our Ghosts had bones in them - which just ain't right... These are GHOSTS after all, not skeletons. The errant bones have been removed.

Moved player spawn location in the Izzy Norton House outside so that you can gather your tools before entering the house
Tools in Quick Access Bar now indicate the correct button to press after placing a tool on the ground

Bug Reporting?

Hey there folks! Was curious if it might be a good idea to have a centralized location on here for reporting the bugs we come across so that they can be patched at a later time? I have a few to report in regards to using my ROG Ally primarily for playing it. Mostly that when I turn on a tool it drops said tool, or that sometimes the gamepad functionality on the Ally isn't recognized. Also with the gamepad the cell phone still tells me to press z to close it, instead of down on the d-pad. If I come acr...

Tools

Is there a way to leave the flashlight equipped while using other things like the EMF? Was just wandering aimlessly in the dark after having to shut the power off. I didn't see any options for this in the controls. Ended up quitting the game when I couldn't see what I was doing....

Close requires mouse click?

When checking out some items with E, I wasn't able to close the inspection screen with the same key. Had to mouse over to the close button to do it. Would be nice to be able to close the inspection screen with E as well.

Found a bug in the demo!

I was just playing the demo of the game, and I really like the premise. However, after I finished in Newhamburger Mansion, and tried to upload my evidence to Bootube, I got stuck because the game is still telling me to pick a tag even though I have already done that. It didn't give me my money for the Bootube post, and it won't let me continue. Just wanted to bring attention to it, because I would love to play more when things have been polished up a bit more! Super great idea that I want to see more of!...
