The Trials of Enkidu Alpha Playtest Patch Notes: 04/05/2026

Hello, Everyone!

I know it's been a bit since our last update, but we've been heads down updating the playtest build with a lot of improvements to game feel, game balance, and Boss behavior in particular! Below, you'll find our latest update, with more updates to come in the weeks ahead!

Please let us know what you think of the latest changes, and we can't wait to hear from you, and to continue to polish and refine The Trials of Enkidu!

Key Highlights:

· Enemy Spawner adjustments

· Further Boss Behavior adjustments

· Gear Cost adjustments

Bug Fixes:

· Background Music track no longer restarts after a few waves of enemies

· Enemy spawner properly spawning ALL intended enemies (including Elite enemies)

· For stages with narrower corridors, the player can no longer spawn in tight spaces

· Boss spawns appropriately at the 7 minute mark, and not before

Balance Adjustments and Misc. Improvements:

· Boss HP and Damage has been adjusted

· Gear Costs have been adjusted for smoother progression

· Enemy HP and DMG values have been adjusted for better flow during a run

· All Common Kin of Ki Gear and Accessories now have 1 Lotus Shard available by default

· Level Up curve slightly adjusted for better level up flow/pacing

· Enemy spawn numbers have been updated for better balancing/intensity scaling

· Updated Weapon Lotus Shard upgrade descriptions for better clarity

· Increased Game Camera distance for better visibility

· Increased Enkidu's player Vision to accommodate game camera updates

· Added a particle trail to the Glaive Weapon for better visibility

· Removed the "Enemy Hit Stun" effect for all weapons

· Increased Knockback Effect for Active Abilities

· Kragor Boss Behavior has been improved (currently still WIP pending polish and balance pass)

· Lioness Shaman Boss Behavior has been improved (currently still WIP pending polish and balance pass)

· Minotaur Boss Behavior has been improved (currently still WIP pending polish and balance pass)

· Beholder Demon Boss Behavior has been improved (currently still WIP pending polish and balance pass)

Hello, again, everyone!

It's Tuesday, so time for another Alpha Playtest Update!

We've been listening to your feedback as we work to further refine the gameplay experience for you all, and implement our planned features and polish!

Full patch notes below, and as always, I can't thank you all enough for your participation in the playtest! It's been a truly invaluable experience, and we are beyond grateful!

The Trials of Enkidu Alpha Playtest Patch Notes: 02/03/2026

Key Highlights:

· Stage Difficulty adjustments for Stages 2 and 3

· Enemy AI updates for Gorilla Drummer, Leopard Ravager, and Alpha Wolf

· Weapon Upgrade balance adjustments for all weapons

Bug Fixes:

· “Action Unavailable” prompt displays properly in the Player and Lotus Shard tabs

· “Interact” prompt no longer overlaps the Stage Select screen when selecting a stage

· Health Increase level up upgrade now restores some health as intended

· Tooltip when comparing Gear/Lotus shards no longer displays debug text in the “Shard Effects” field.

Balance Adjustments:

· Weapon upgrade damage reduced for better balancing on all weapons

· Difficulty tuning for Stages 2 and 3 for increased challenge

· Gorilla Drummer, Leopard Ravager, and Alpha Wolf enemies have had adjustments made to their AI for greater challenge

· Work in Progress adjustments made to Kragor’s Boss AI

Shard Drops and Chest drops have been updated to improve balance

Hello, everyone! It's Tuesday, which means another patch for The Trials of Enkidu Alpha Playtest.

This is a smaller patch that addresses a few things and improves game feel. Full patch notes below:

Key Highlights:

· Enemy Spawner improvements

· Kragor Claw Slash attack hitboxes adjusted for balance

Bug Fixes:
* “Action Unavailable” Prompt now appears correctly during runs when trying to Buy/Sell items from the Blacksmith Shop.

Balance Adjustments:

· Kragor Claw Slash hit box reduced to eliminate “phantom hits”

· Additional Enemy spawner adjustments for better combat flow/pacing

· Shard Slot adjustments for Ravager’s Trailguard Leg Gear

· Gear and Lotus Shards can only be equipped at the Nexus Hub

We're continuing to polish, bug fix, and refine The Trials of Enkidu, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts on these latest changes to the game!

Was looking for a game like this to play with maybe 1 or 2 more friends, this looks really cool though keep it up ! !
