after defeating her the main character just asked her to hold her hand and the magic castle starte dtransforming but no explaination as to what happened to zara??

Does anyone else know how to fix this issue? After the first cut scene, it turns black and I can't see. I've tried the Settings>Display>Graphics thing but it didn't help

I just bought this game and can't get it to run right. When I open it, the CD pops up and says that I will need to enter it once the game opens, but it never asks me for it. The opening cutscene runs fine, however once it gets to where I need to enter my name/customize my character, the whole screen is really dark, and I can't see anything. The outlines of things are there, but it all looks like shadows. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it a lost cause?...
