If you’ve played any of the pre-release demos, you’ll encounter lots of other updates, including a new volcanic biome, improved VFX, more dramatic lighting and the ability to export your end of map summary as a GIF.

We’re a small team, and we’ve worked on Calyx for some time already. We believe the game already offers an entertaining mix of basebuilding, combat and storyline, but there are still mechanics, systems and features missing to make it fully rounded. By offering Calyx to a larger audience before full release, we can receive essential feedback to help us build out the experience and make the final game the best it can possibly be.

You can now install or update the Calyx demo and play the first section of the brand new campaign.

Calyx will release into Early Access on Thursday 29th January 2026, but we've uploaded the updated version of the demo today.

• Play a section of the campaign - your save will transfer when you get the full game.

• Try out 3 Skirmish maps.
