It’s official, Crewmates!

It has been an incredible journey, but the time has come for us here at Schell Games to officially hand Among Us 3D back to our friends and partners at Innersloth. If you haven’t heard the news yet, you can read all about the transition on our blog[schellgames.com] and over at Innersloth[www.innersloth.com]!

So, what does this mean for your favorite game of bean betrayal? Is it time to vent until all of this is over? Should you just throw your VR headset out the trash chute now? Of course not!

Let’s start with the most important part: Among Us 3D and Among Us 3D: VR aren’t going anywhere. Innersloth has no plans to shut down the game, so you can continue to go about your tasks. If the game was ever going to shut down, you can trust Innersloth to communicate that to you way in advance.

On to the super cool stuff. We are so excited to make the Definitive Edition available to players across PlayStation VR2[store.playstation.com], Steam, Meta Quest[www.oculus.com], and PICO[store-global.picoxr.com], so you can continue to betray your friends to your heart’s content. Here’s what we’re most excited about

• The joyous terror of Mess Hall along with the unique fry basket brimming with chicky nuggies and freezer tasks that go along with it.

• The pure chaos in your games with the Scanner, Wraith, Deputy, and all the other fan-favorite roles.

• The fashion! New cosmetics will be available in-store every month throughout 2026 and into 2027.

Here’s your first hint for next month’s rotation: When it rains, it purrs.

We previously mentioned that the Definitive Edition would be arriving on March 24th… and we were technically correct - the trailer will still drop that day at the VR Games Showcase.

Unfortunately, someone (we’re looking at you, Yellow) set off a sabotage on the actual rollout, and we need just a little more time with Innersloth to flip all the switches in the right direction.

The Among Us 3D Definitive Edition will now launch on Tuesday, April 7, 2026!

We apologize for the extra wait, but trust us that it will be worth it!

Once the update goes live on April 7, the team at Innersloth will be taking over support for Among Us 3D. If you run into any technical issues or have questions about your account, you’ll be able to reach out to them directly via their helpdesk[innersloth.zendesk.com].

After more than four incredible years, the Schell Games team is officially handing off the development and live-ops reins of Among Us 3D[www.innersloth.com] back to our friends at Innersloth[www.innersloth.com]. 

We know, we know, "signing off" sounds a bit ominous! But take a deep breath (check the garbage in O2 first, though). Giving the IP back to its parents was always part of the plan.

Before we go, we want you to know: our Discord and social channels have been a constant source of inspiration throughout this whole journey. We've worked hard to implement the features you wanted most, and everything we've built has been shaped by your passion, your feedback, and your creativity.

To the millions of Crewmates and Creators from more than 122 countries who have fixed wiring, reported bodies, and lied their way to victory: Thank you. We couldn’t have made it this far without you. 

As a proper send-off, we're launching the Definitive Edition update on March 24th. Fan-favorite limited-time event features and their cosmetics are coming back permanently, and we've set up new monthly cosmetic drops through the rest of 2026 and beyond, so you can keep your Crewmate looking fresh all year long.

Starting March 24th, all player support and official news for Among Us 3D and Among Us 3D: VR will be available through Innersloth's[www.innersloth.com] official channels.

The Schell Games team has worked on many projects, but bringing Among Us to VR and PC platforms was fulfilling in so many ways. We are proud to have helped our friends at Innersloth take their vision into new spaces, and give Among Us 3D back to them stuffed full of content for current and future players. 

The Schell Games Bean is officially signing off and heading to the escape pod, but the ship is in the best hands possible.
