Welcome "back"!?

Primary focus remains on redoing/adding game art. I've spent the last 4 months dedicated to switching from pixel art to illustrative style art. It's not easy!

While there haven't been any game updates for several months, I've still been adding bugs and suggestions to the "to-do" list. Player feedback is important, and I'm not going to ignore it (Which is also why the art is being redone in the first place).

I've reached a point where I'm testing and implementing the redone in-game model. I honestly don't know if it's better or if it will even work, but it also means that it's a great opportunity to work on bugs and "low hanging fruit".

So that's what this February Update is, "mostly bugfixes"! Several pain points as well as some quality of life features are addressed in this update, keep playing and giving feedback, it helps everyone!

Changes:

• Fix immediate crash if save folder missing (User needs to revalidate Steam files or reinstall)

• Events: Fix scroll down not working with "scroll down" button

• Waifu Fishing: Fixed clicking help crashing the game (added actual Instructions for this minigame)

• Fix 'max health' healing problem with Friendship/Rival skill

• Fix game crash for new accounts for Online mode (restarting the game was fine)

• Added storybok for when selecting a Quest with an "injured" Waifu in the current squad

• Changed injury timer to add 90minutes per new injury instead of multiplying by 2

• Character grid: Added "INJURED" text label for injured characters

• Autoequip works a little better; if no improvement then it will choose something that is equal

• Autoequip now selects "something" instead of leaving an empty equipment slot

• Squads: Fixed "autofill" logic for Leader and Lancer

• Townbuilder: When upgrading, modal now shows total ore in Inventory

• Townbuilder: Show quantity of Road & Soil available when building

• Townbuilder: Fix invisible Stadium if placed on bottom of map

• Townbuilder: Fix crash when placing a building at the exact moment a Chibi spawns

• Changed Chibi populating town from 5 to as many as can be made in 1 second of load-time (faster computer = more chibis)

• Nature Towers: Fixed crystal reward purple-icon and not rewarding crystals

• Dungeon: Fix endscreen banners not scrolling down all the way

• Dungeon: Fix enemy bullet hits waifu into wall and gets stuck

• Warbands: Enemy labels viewable when zoomed out more

• Warbands: Start zoomed in a little and centered on Demon King's castle

• Arena: Fix reward time left showing negative days

New:

• Added chibi "fainted" frame

• Guild Coins are now mailed and properly coded (Guild Shop still empty for now)

• Added "Repairkit" to the Crystal shop for 100 crystals. Fixes 1 injury (finally added!)

• Added "Injured" Filter and sort to Character grid

• When viewing equipment slot in character details, if a better item is found in the Marketplace or Warehouse, a comparison box will show next to the current equipment stats.

• Added Storybook when entering Warbands for the first time to explain how it works and what to do

The initial plan for Fantasy Waifu Collector was to put the game on Steam in Early Access starting January of 2025. The rest of the year treated as a "Beta" build, with a demo released in October.

While the game received massive changes and updates, as of December it still needs work in order to make a better finished product. Even with planned monthly updates after release, core changes to the game need to be made which prevent December's plan. There will be a lack of monthly updates until the core changes are complete.
