Soultracer is a passion project that started a long time ago.

I am a solo dev working on the game so it's really exciting to be able to share some stuff about the game! I always loved survival horror games and the ability for them to make you feel helpless and make quick decisions that may or may not save your life. A big inspiration for Soultracer is the Resident Evil series, the Silent Hill series, Alone in the Dark (the first one and The New Nightmare) and Haunting Ground. Of course there are some other games but those would be the main pillars of inspiration for Soultracer in no particular order.

Soultracer has a very strong narrative and core gameplay, more will be revealed as time goes on. Unfortunately, I cannot give a release date on the game at the moment, this is a solo project which I'm the only one working on so I don't want to give an official release date even though I already know the month it'll most likely be released. Don't get the wrong idea! I am working every single day on this and making great progress. I give you my word I'm putting my SOUL into this!

In the game you have a very special ability that you can use to solve puzzles and other things. You are a Soultracer, after all. More will be revealed in the coming announcement. Puzzles are really important in survival horror games, so I wanted to give them an extra layer for how to solve them. Some puzzles are not important for progression... though they may hide valuable treasures, you'd need to do a lot of thinking so you might want to have a sheet of paper and a pencil while playing, you didn't think the game would easily hand them to you, did you?

About Localization: At the moment the game is made in full English. However, it's also got Spanish support (Subtitles and the menus). The reason for this is know both. I do want to make it available in other languages though I'd need to hire a translator for that since I want everything to be conveyed as I mean it to be and not just translated using a web translator. Let me know what languages you'd want it to be next!

I'm aiming to capture what it was like to play survival horror games around the PS2 era, you know? Games which had very interesting stories and characters that made you just want to know what will happen to them next. I'm also very aware not everyone plays survival horror games the same way, you know what I mean, some like to get straight to the point and other like to take their time exploring and gathering resources (and hidden ones too). Personally, I'm the latter, I like finding stuff I know a few percentage of people really get on their first playthrough, that's why in Soultracer you are rewarded handsomely for this. I want to emphasize replayability is a big factor in this game, there are a ton of things you can do to change the outcome of things, that's why some items you got in your first run will not be the same on the next one. Multiple endings are present in the game too and I don't mean the kind where only the ending changes... there's weapons, items, even whole places you may or may not encounter depending on how you choose to proceed...

Enemies are one of the most important pillars of Soultracer. There are a LOT of different enemies, at the moment I have half of them ready but I'll limit myself on how much I want to talk about them, I hope what you're able to see in the store page savors your appetite for now.

The game has very ambitious features as well, most which are already completed, just in need of polishing. I don't want to spoil too much since I think I've spoken too much for now.

I've never released a game, I've made some survival horror projects in the past (mainly to learn game development on my own) but never made an official game.
