February 2026 Dev Update

Greetings soldiers of Genua! We are so grateful for all the support you all have shown with our Kickstarter campaign! There's only a few days left but we've been funded over 300% for a while and even reached our initial goal within only a day after launch. Thank you all for sharing! We also launched a new trailer just for the Kickstarter so check it out!

Technical Updates

We released our combined demo to Steam so everyone can now experience the full, remastered prologue section in Lendene as well as the Chapter 1 Vigherad story. If you notice any bugs or glitches, just let us know so we can add it to our list of fixes! A few of the fixes already implemented are:

Changed the color of the mouse icon (selector) to improve visibility
Fixed save states not updating after completing battles
Fixed where loading autosaves always starts from the beginning and also double loaded your team
Updated Menu to move tabs to the top

Now we're in active development for Chapters 2 and 3 and finalizing the class system and character abilities, so there will be lots to share soon!

Game needs an in game fps limiter

I can limit the fps out of game but I prefer not to because it can cause many games to stutter badly. Without any type of limiter in this game my computer gets a constant 144fps but sounds like a jet engine so I can't hear the intro at all. I just immediately ALT+F4 the game because damaging my computer isn't worth it for an indie demo. Also just as a side not the settings are bare bones at best and need more options. Not even a brightness slider or anything....

Stuck In Ground After First battle

right side of the waterfall which is to the left as you walk down the trail there's a few rocks near a tree, where an item also is on the ground and at the rocks right behind said item you drop down into the rocks, and you're stuck...d'oh.

Demo feedback

Played the demo and love what i saw sure the game needs more work but will definitely keep a eye for it. If i might suggest some stuff id kill for a option to change key bidings and have to ask will this game have something like a open world to explore or just a set up stage u need to pass doing encounters. Keep up the great work and rooting for the game to be a success....

Cannot use Mouse and Keyboard?

Started the Demo and am only getting Controller prompts and have no idea if KBM is even supported. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was just curious if this game will have big 12 person armies like in Shining force or small 5 person armies like in FF tactics? Really hoping for a more shining force like experience myself :).

January 2026 Dev Update

Greetings soldiers of Genua and Happy New Year! 2026 is going to be a big year as we plan to launch Aegis Force: The Scorian War later in the fall.

Before we talk about all the latest and greatest updates, we have one big announcement and call to action! On February 1, 2026, we're launching our Kickstarter campaign! If you haven't already, please get a Kickstarter account and hit the "Notify Me On Launch" button.

Technical Updates

We had some delays in pushing the Prologue update to Steam due to the holidays and some extra polishing needing to be done, but we're hoping this will be released very soon! As soon as it's ready to play, we'll post an announcement here on Steam and our social media channels.

Our artists have been upgrading all the turn-order portraits as well as building new sprites and characters for the upcoming chapters under development. Check them out!

Our upcoming Kickstarter campaign on February 1, 2026 is going to be extremely important for us to get enough funding to implement some of the awesome ideas we want to include in the game. We have several stretch goals and community rewards planned based on how much support you all are able to provide! There will be a wide variety of backer tiers ranging from as low as $5-10 and as high as $500 if you really want to be a superstar ːsteamhappyː Some of the rewards you might receive include:
