*Making Lovers: First Blush* is an eroge visual novel with a romantic/eternal love theme, featuring an audio technician (you choose the name) who was working at the Shionari Tanabata Festival. There, he crosses paths with four beautiful girls, with whom he feels a somewhat “fated” connection, so he decides to pursue a romantic relationship while maintaining his belief that “one should only date someone who is obviously your fated partner,”
so unlike other harem-style romantic visual novels where the protagonist meets and dates multiple girls before eventually choosing one, this title adopts a “restrictive” and uniquely narrative style, choosing one girl from the very beginning and exploring her unique story without ever having contact with the other three girls who were not chosen.

The story of this game unfolds in a somewhat unique way, featuring a prologue that introduces each of the four heroines with whom the protagonist will interact. Sakurako, the protagonist’s typical childhood friend, whom he always treated like a sister, but as she grows up and becomes more feminine, he begins to see her in a different light. Kouta, a young woman with a childlike, petite appearance, yet she exudes an aura of an older sister due to her mature and maternal attitude, as she takes care of her younger siblings and runs the family business. Yui, the typical attractive but ditzy blonde girl, who has a taste for idols and music in general, but hides a somewhat otaku-like and scruffy attitude that contrasts with her appearance. And finally, Hatsuho, the typical black-haired “sempai,” characterized by a high-class, elegant demeanor; she is a priestess who hides a family secret bordering on the “supernatural.”
After the prologue, the game forces you to decide which heroine the protagonist will have a romantic relationship with. Once chosen, as I mentioned earlier, you’ll fully immerse yourself in that story and won’t see the other heroines again. Each story has a fairly unique development, ranging from the typical casual romantic story with the childhood friend that grows in intensity over time.
Another story involves a fake dating relationship with the most popular girl that turns into a serious relationship due to strong chemistry. As for the other two, they are more complex, and it’s best to experience them for yourself to avoid spoilers.

Since this title is a visual novel, there isn't really much gameplay involved beyond clicking to bring up the next dialogue.
That said, there are some gameplay elements and decisions to make during the game (besides choosing which heroine to pursue, of course). These decisions involve choosing the locations for your dates with the heroines, whether it’s your room, the mall, a restaurant, an amusement park, etc.
The choice of dating location doesn’t really impact the overall outcome of the story or the sex scenes, but it does offer different dialogues with the heroines, so seeing all the results of the different choices can be quite charming.

Since this is an eroge, the game naturally features sex scenes with the heroines; these scenes are introduced throughout each story and gradually increase in intensity. There are 29 scenes in total, though they aren’t distributed evenly, as some heroines have up to 8 scenes while others have only 6 or 7.
These scenes are static, uncensored, and feature full, highly professional Japanese voice acting. The art quality is quite good, with attractive character designs, accurate physical proportions, as well as detailed and varied outfits, and of course detailed backgrounds, all of which together give each scene a realistic and erotic feel.
In terms of the content or fetishes featured in the scenes, there isn’t really much to highlight, as the vast majority of the content is vanilla, featuring oral sex, boobjobs, and vaginal sex, where the only elements that would fall into the fetish category are the anal sex scenes, cosplay, or sex in public places. So, it all ends up being fairly “normal” content, which, for better or worse, makes for enjoyable sexual content for a casual audience that enjoys simple, vanilla scenes.
Where there is a bit more variety, however, is in the design of the heroines, catering to different personal tastes, from the typical basic brunette with decent-sized breasts and butt, the typical busty blonde, the dominant mature brunette with decent-sized breasts, all the way to a petite heroine if you prefer small breasts.

I think *Making*Lovers: First Blush is a great romantic visual novel. It offers a love story with four distinct storylines that really encourage you to play through and read them carefully, thanks to the entertaining plot of each one.
Technically, the game performs quite well, with attractive art and flawless voice acting that brings each heroine’s personality to life.
Finally, the sexual content is high-quality, featuring a variety of scenes in different positions, as well as a large number of CGs to ensure the scenes flow smoothly, though I would have liked them to explore sexuality a bit more and not limit themselves to just vanilla sex.
Having said all that, I can’t find any major downsides, beyond differences in personal taste, but if you like romantic visual novels with multiple routes, cute anime girls, and uncensored vanilla sex scenes, this title meets those standards. And for the reasonable price of $16 with a discount, it’s a game I highly recommend, given the many hours of entertainment it offers.
