With 15+ years of experience across interactive audio for games, film, TV, and media, Webster blends creative vision with technical excellence to make everything feel alive. His approach brings narrative depth.

We’re excited to announce that Sigils of Nightfall is part of the Tiny Roguelikes!

And to celebrate that, here goes another demo update!

Patch Notes:

New hand layout, with 1-0 numeric keys shortcut
New attack cursor
Adjusted rewards on ambush
Description for card events like remove, transform, optimize, and upgrade
Card selection now differs from hover in deck screens
No red vignette if you suffer no damage
New scry screen
UI Updates
Additional backgrounds
XP progression adjustments
New AP (energy) color to avoid confusion with armor
Status cards now extinct upon use, not polluting the discard pile
Card miniatures as tooltips
Better controller support
Balancing and additional clarifications
Many minor fixes (pretty much every bug you reported here)

The boss is unbeatable

Hi there. As per title, I have no idea how you area supposed to beat the big cultist guy and his two minions. I tried using wither and magic to avoid damage from his thorns, but it was useless. He simply has too much health and hits too hard. So does anyone have any advice other than "git gud"? I don't have 500+ hours in Slay the Spire to simply deduce what you're supposed to do against the boss....

-I suggest making a different animation/sound when we are hit and shield blocks it all, as opposed to when we are hit and take HP damage. -I suggest making the numbers bigger above enemies' heads. Hard to read. Also their HP and our HP, the numbers are just hard to read. Bigger and possibly different font. -When we can discard cards at the start of the turn (and other instances similar to this that I'm sure exist) it would be nice to be able to look at stuff on the battlefield like enemies' intents and a...

Good demo - but a bit clunky.

Overall, everything felt very sticky and slow. Will there be a speed-up/animation skip in the future? Enemies dying, using cards, etc all felt pretty languid. The music was...very one note and loopingly repetitive, but I assume that's a focus for actual release, and not a demo priority. I won my first run (just stacked armor and hit people), but going to the second level (I went "up") almost all my fights were against the same weak enemies I had just fought, except now I had goblins. Like a few of the figh...

Enemies didn’t spawn.

During wave 5, I may have pressed ‘next corridor’ repeatedly. Enemies failed to spawn afterwards
