will the game get them?

Game looks interesting, but I can't play it. Have uninstalled/reinstalled a couple of times. I get through the brief into, and then as soon as the character is able to move, he starts going left of his own accord. I can tell him to go in other directions EXCEPT right, and if he gets stuck in a corner, there's nothing I can do....

It's odd because Z and X work just fine.
