Post Next Fest Update

Next Fest is over so I've patched the game to address some feedback I've gotten from new players.

Some small changes to make the game experience a bit smoother:

A TAB menu that lets you see your and the enemies' stats while held.
The TAB menu already existed actually but it looks nicer now and the game actually tells you it exists. I'll have to make actual icons for KB/M and controller later.
A new fullscreen "goblin is taking damage" effect that doesn't make the game quite as dark and ugly
A bunch of new hints as to how SPD works.

I noticed a lot of people don't understand how SPD works as a stat. It is used to take your turn more quickly. Essentially every fraction of a second your SPD is added to a counter and once it hits 100, it's your turn.

This means that at 0 SPD, you will never take a turn. I've gotten some bug reports from people confused as to why their goblin wasn't taking turns so I've added an in-battle comment from him that reminds you of this fact as you give him an item that reduces his SPD to 0.

He also comments on it the morning before the Warrior fight.

Goblin stuck not attacking

As the title says, the goblin just stopped attacking during the 3rd day. I kinda threw the whole village at him by this time, but he just stood there without attacking until he died. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fyx_sS3bhcY

Demo updated for Next Fest

I Won't Let You Level Up In My Goblin Town will be in Steam Next Fest from the 24th. For the influx of new players I've updated the demo to have a more legible font, I've added a new campfire that has some cool interactions which lead to new items with new effects.

Most importantly, I've added achievements which hopefully make some fights more challenging and hint at different ways to play the game. There's a lot of options that you might not expect at first.

More sound effects are now actually affected by the SFX volume slider. I think I got them all this time.

Please hit me up with any feedback you have. Especially regarding the font.

Controller Issue

Having an issue using the right stick on the controller to look around. It only moves slighty and stops. If i continously rotate the right stick it moves around freely whilst doing so, but trying to navigate normally is nearly impossible. The game runs fine otherwise. Have tried changing camera sensitivity and controller bindings, also played with the steam controller settings before launching the game. Using an Xbox series controller on my PC, also having the issue playing on Steam Deck....

Fun Demo Feedback Time

Im suprised there is no other feed back posts yet. First up i love the idea and fun of the game its diffrent in a way that stands out. Second there seems too be a bug where the blacksmith wont do anything with a second wood or iron. Third is a bit more tricky as honestly i can see where the game spreads out and gets more tricky already so i hesitate too sugest anything thats not already in the works. However i would like too ask others what they think of the town and the simple extra items each day format?...
