Backroom Company Update Notice

Dear players, this is the Backroom Company development team.

First of all, we sincerely thank everyone who has been playing Backroom Company and sending us your valuable feedback.

This update focuses on enhancing player progression and improving the repeat play experience.

A variety of new systems and features have been added to expand player choices and allow for more diverse ways to enjoy exploration and survival.

The May 14 update is currently available as a Beta Version.

If you do not select the beta version, you may not be able to access or play the game properly.

▶ Steam Library → Right-click the game → Properties → Betas → Select Beta Version

You can now unlock various features and equipment from the Tech Tree monitor next to the stage selection monitor.

Using currency earned through gameplay, you can sequentially unlock the features you want and choose from various growth paths based on your playstyle.

New upgrade elements have been added, such as attaching a rocket to the cart and increasing the duration of Moth Jelly.

The Tech Tree system will continue to expand in the future, with more features and upgrade elements to be added.

The revival feature has also been integrated as a sub-element of the Tech Tree.

You can now unlock auto-revival, and the previous revival count limit system has been removed.

Flashlights and walkie-talkies are now provided as features rather than items, and can be unlocked via the Tech Tree.

Various equipment such as the Cable Reel, Cart, and Noclip Inducer can also be used through the Tech Tree.

A storage system has been added to the hub, allowing you to store items. This enables more strategic item management and long-term gameplay goal setting.

The quota system has also been reworked.

The quota is now evaluated and deducted based on the currency currently held by the player.

In addition to the main objectives, you can complete various side missions that occur throughout the map to earn additional rewards and currency.

Previously, difficulty affected quota and creature spawn methods.

Now, difficulty is adjusted based on the penalties that occur upon game over.

This improvement allows players to more freely choose their difficulty level based on their playstyle.

We will continue to make ongoing improvements and updates so that Backroom Company can deliver an even more polished experience.
