Zooika 1.1.5 update

With this update we've rewritten the Twitch connection code to be more reliable, and we've fixed several bugs too.

Here's a breakdown of the main fixes and changes:

Redesigned the snowball watermelon, the old design was a little confusing to people (It's not an egg! :) )
Reworked the Twitch connection code, and added self monitoring. The initial connection process should be smoother, and the game should attempt to re-connect when it detects problems.
Fixed bush and grass movement issues (last update broke the shader)
Twitch Plays - Added freeze sound effects
Twitch Plays - Stopped frozen animals from partying
Twitch Plays - Improved 'Shake Up' effect
Twitch Plays - Improved animal awareness when they thaw, they should now pop correctly
Twitch Plays - Added audio effects when underwater
Twitch Plays - Added audio effects when taking a trip

Twitch integration testing on Beta branch

We're currently testing out Twitch integration features on the beta branch. It's an open beta and streamers are welcome to give it a go! Zooika 1.1.4 update

We've been fixing up a lot of small bugs and localisation issues, along with adding a few more Twitch streamer vs chat features.

Here's a breakdown of the main fixes and changes:

Localisation - Display issues have been fixed.
Localisation - Updated translations.
Localisation - Added translator names to the About screen.
Interface - Added additional sound feedback to option screens.
Interface - Transition screen now splits the Zooika logo.
Twitch Plays - New 'ping' sound when Twitch chat votes for an effect.
Twitch Plays - Display issues fixed.
Twitch Plays - Added 'freeze' effect, chat can vote to freeze all animals of each type.
Twitch Plays - Added Neon sunset effect, chat can vote to change the theme to an 80's vibe.
Twitch Plays - Added Party mode, chat can vote to start a party for the animals.
Twitch Plays - Added monochrome effect.
Twitch Plays - Added trip effect.
Twitch Plays - Added everyone jumps and shake up effects.
Bugs - Fixed an issue with hidden achievements, they should now trigger correctly.
Bugs - Removed stray sound effect on Twitch Plays settings screen.
Bugs - Fixed occasional flicker when spawning animals.
Bugs - Fixed incorrect font size on initial view of high scores.
Bugs - Fixed language icons not updating on main screen after a change in the settings.
Bugs - Fixed final animal collision issues.
Bugs - Fixed occasional spawning issue during game over process.

Zooika V1.1.2 Release

We've just released another update, this time adding language localisation to the game!

We're supporting eleven languages in this initial update. These languages are English, Welsh, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Ukrainian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.

We've also fixed a few small bugs in this release too!

If you spot any mistakes in the localisation, please let us know by posting in the community hub

Zooika Demo!

The demo for Zooika will be released very shortly. Please use this discussion thread for any feedback you have! We hope you enjoy it, but let us know about any bugs or issues you have. Bugs 'Friends Only' option in High Scores is currently disabled due to some issues. Will hopefully fix this in the coming week. - Fixed in V0.18 Display width for usernames in the High Scores could be bigger - Fixed in V0.18 ...

Steam Deck

Zooika has a native Linux build and works great on the Steam Deck! The Twitch integration is currently disabled on Steam Deck, but if there's demand for it, we can look at adding that to.
